I am just curious to know, how long does it take, when growing indoors for the plant to grow from seedling to maturity? Particularly with only natural light... :)

Well, I guess you must be all fed up with answering the same 'boring' questions. Never mind, I guess I will find out for myself in the fullness of time.:)

indoors, with natural light.. i assume you mean by a window? for one it wont grow very well, probably will stretch out quite a bit.

However, given normal conditions, roughly 3 months.

Won't it grow well even in a sunny window? ...and I have been told many times they they are not hard to grow.

What is your defintion of 'normal conditions'?

it'll grow very very slowly in just a window, probably a lot of stretching.

If you want to grow indoors, and do it on the cheap, google search Kamel CFL Guide

you're right, it's not hard to grow because it's a weed. it will strech alot, as other people have said, because it will start to grow towards the window where the sunlight is coming from.

Cannabis is a tropical plant that requires intense full sun, there are only 2 ways to get this, either buy some lights or grow it outside from late April until harvest. Time of harvest depends on a number of factors and could be anywhere from early July to September(or later if you plant later). Usually in the US late April early May is after the last frost, but if you live in extreme northern places in the us or Canada it could be around mid May. If you live in the south(like me) then you could plant as early as April 12th-20th.

I personally think its easier and cheaper to grow outside. You have one big cost knocked out of the way when you use the sun for your light source. If you plant near a creek there goes your water source costs too.

However the big problem with growing outside of course is security, pests and location. If you live in the city you probably won't be able to grow outside, however if you live in the country, or even in the suburbs with woods near by you might be able to pull it off. Pests can be taken care of organically or chemically(of course I suggest organically). Security, well just use common sense, dont plant around active trails, plant where it is very hard to get to and where people don't go.

The problems with growing indoors is mainly the cost and the smell. You will have to buy lights(lights for veg growth and lights for flower growth), ventilation equipment, pots, potting soil, fertilizer, and other things. Also you will see an increase in your electricity bill when you start growing and leaving lights on.

A lot of people will argue with me and say growing indoors is the way to go, but I don't think so. Way out the pros and cons yourself.

After posting all this I realize you are from England, so you will have similar climate to that of Northern US so early May would be your best bet.
