no the real problem is is that these veterans went from high school an mom an dad to the military. they have never had to be fiscally responsible for themselves. they hit the real world and just dont know how to handle there responsibilities..

i dont see where its our fault as a whole (meaning us as a nation as you implied)that they cant cope with the real world.although i do think the military should prepare them better for the transition into society...

Theirs that wholesome "if you can't stand on your own you should fall" all American pie capitalist idealism. They sure pride them selves of activating in anti-racism segregations, now how about stop comparing people by class and really care about one another.

seems as if i said we are all the same did i not? i said why should they be special.. an no i dont believe in giving something for nothing.. if thats a bad mentality to have in your eyes thats your problem.

i know in your mind the goverment should step up an do away with homeless people by giving them food and shelter without them doin anything.. permanent an all inclusive welfare..

i say not with my tax dollar.. i know,, evil american..

no not at all,,if a human cant provide for themselves when they are young and healthy in america then they are pretty worthless in my opinion.. its a big country,if theres no work where your at,move.if the rents to high get a room mate.. its not rocket science to fend for yourself..

if its so hard for them in the real world they can always go back in the military...

haha... that would be funny if what you say wasn't so disturbing.

So they found at any given time 1/4 US homeless were veterans. Not that 1/4 veterans were homeless.

495,400 Veterans were homeless at some point in 2006. How many Veterans live in America? Half a million homeless veterans sure sounds like a lot.

Its sad these men and women are going out and risking there lives and there sanity for America and when they come home they are expected to be able to adapt back to normal society, or be tossed from society to live on the streets.

Its disturbing what is happening to the American troops. I really wish in America "Support the troops" actually meant "Support the troops" and not "Support the stupid war".

you forget its a VOLUNTEER army.. they CHOSE to go into the armed forces.they were not forced. its not our duty to prop them up when they get out just because they made a bad choice..

so i suppose we should also prop up all the drug addicts, unwed mothers, criminals fresh out of prison, any and all that lose there job for whatever reason,,etc..

when does personal responsibility kick in?? it seems in some of you alls eyes,, never..

i dont see why someone that volunteered to go into the armed forces be it war time or peace time should be treated as special...
