Do I have a chance?

Well, to be honest, I'm afraid I'll never have sex, or even have a girlfriend for that matter. I'm 18, and I've never had a girlfriend. I'm overweight (not extremely, but yeah...), I'm very shy, and I just can't see it happening. I really don't know how attractive I am exactly, never have been told either way, so I really don't know on that front. I have no idea how I could meet someone either... Any suggestions, or anything at all?

To meet someone you have to go out, its as simple as that, if you stay at home always, the only person you will meet is pamela.

Go to a weight loss clinic, or a "fat camp", and try to meet a woman your age with the same problem. You can lose weight together, and feel better in the process. She probably is shy as well, with low self esteem because she is overweight.

 

Well, to start off most people do not get that lucky in High School. You are only 18. When you start going to college you will meet a lot of people. And it is a lot of different people. It is usually such a huge array of people at the university that there is no doubt in my mind you will get lucky. But getting lucky aside you should not really put too much into that. Learn to love yourself before you start wanting others to. Start taking care of your body with exercise and eating better.. maybe branch out a little and join a club or athletic organization. Be open and don't forget yourself.

but keep in mind that you dont have to change for anyone, just yourself. And if it comes down to that your self consious, then if loosing weight is the only way to gain some back then do it. Also if your in a realationship she is there for you, and just you. And she "should" love you the way your are and thats why she picked you and not the skinny guy. Make sense? Just stay positive and be confident in yourself.

i never had a boyfrind until i was 18, not one guy asked me out either. every one said i was so pretty, but i thought, if i was pretty than people might like me??

it made me shy, and i had a very low self esteem. and my insecurity was all they could see.
just be yourself and truly love yourself and other people will love you.
shed your insecurities before your weight. when you feel good, it will show!!
I have had a BF for three years and i'm seven and a half months pregnant,

You need the confidence. A fat guy I work with has a smoking hot wife that everyone is all "WTF?" about when they see her. Insanely hot. He's fat. The difference is that he doesn't give a fuck and is cool as hell.

Lose weight.

 

I don't think he needs to lose weight. I think it's ALL about confidence and socialness. Like I can't get enough of this guy Matt, and he's no looker, and he's your weight. But he's confident (and an AMAZING kisser ;P), and he gets loads of girls.

I just think just wait til u come out of ur shell. Some people are late bloomers. My bro was, bless him, and now he's known as 'fit john' (I have no clue why lol) and has an amazingly nice and gorgeous girlfriend. Everyone I know says she's the most beautiful girl on the island So, I just think u just need to wait.

 

I know a guy like that. Doesn't give a fuck whether he's fat or not. I mean, sure he works out and he's trying to lose weight, but it's not like he needs that to gain confidence in himself.

There are the kind that think you have to be like all the preppy jocks to get any, which is how it is where Im at. Then there are the girls that would rather found out that you were being you instead of finding out that you were copying some other guy. You want to be with her man, trust me.
