Im a suffolk kid. I dont care for it much out here, but I fit in better then I did in Nassau. The city is much cooler. I guess I cannot complain being Long Island is a nice place to grow up. That is if you have the money to live here. If not, you're just struggling to keep up with the people that do. Either way, alright place. :/

I hate LI and for some reason I just moved back here (from California which was awesome). I'm trying to find like minded people...or just open minded people...and it's so hard. Everyone is the same!

Well, I'm in Nassau County around the Plainview/Bethpage area... I had been an oddball loner with a couple of friends, but they all went to art school in the city and became snobby hipsters, lol...

Anyway I have lately been hoping to find some nice people around here... maybe a few of us should hang out some time. Anyway be well :)

I would hang, but it occurs to me now that I'm new and don't know anyone in even the internet sense.
    Plans. Foiled.

I just moved to NYC a few months back, closest I've come to most of the places you guys are mentioning is Brooklyn. I do, however, definitely see the abundance of "Sex and the City" types and their male equivalents. Even so, I've managed to find plenty of more laid back people. I think in an area as populated as this, you can find a substantial number of almost any type of people..

Anyway, while not exactly a hippie myself, the ones I worked with at the ren faire back in Ohio definately rubbed off on me, I'm hoping I'll meet more laid back folk at the NYRF. Anyone been?

It's hard to say what the best city in the world is because you have to look at all different aspects. Personally, London is my favorite.
