My younger brother got into Everquest a few years before WoW came onto the scene (how I regret not being more decisive that fateful day at best buy when he came up and asked if I'd heard it was worth the money, getting time at the computer was a luxery forever after). I played that for a while and liked it, but the fact that he was on the computer seemingly non-stop prevented me from getting too absorbed in MMORPGs.
