    luvione,

Is that oasis a place in your mind or is it a geographical location. I'm looking for both of them. (on the left hand side of your post underneath your join date it says: location: oasis in enemy territory)

By the way, my memory of the STPers is one of a group who was notorious for watching each others backs. When they were at their best they could give you a feeling of tranquillity and peace right in the middle of a violent city street. Maybe I'm giving them/you a little too much credit.

    luvione,

do I detect a note of condescension. Are you STPers beleaguered by the good old police state. I was hoping you would be a buffer between me and them; you know, keep them off my back, push them outward so I could have some room to breathe. Seems like instead of you doing that, your letting the good old police state push you downwards on top of me. Peace and love just the same

I am changing the subject, I am crushed and devastated, and do not need to listen to somone who is rational only a wee bit of the time. Hope this finds all well.

    Yes luvione,

I am only rational a wee bit of the time, but never the less non biological families are the only thing in my life that have any importance to me.

I'm not quite ready to let this go yet!

Jax was my friend. I want to know from an STPer which is more important, friendship or family, and I don't mean biological/genetic family.

  10. Shameless Heifer, Chris Wah, Glad to see that you are still here and doing well, I've been away for awhile and just returned to the land of the "free". It saddens me about Butler. We hung together in Nederlands in the early 70s and then moved to Glendale Az [ the Twilight Zone ], along with Merna [ she was my Lady pardner at the time ], Charley Blackbeard, Blond Bobby, Coke Mike, Mamma Karen and others that are faces, but no names come to mind. Butler, Charley, Bobby [ we called him Bomber down there ] and I rode with a motorcycle club there. When I left there was the last time that I saw Butler.
I started this site trying to find out about lost brothers, the losses that I have learned about saddens me. Still no word about Charley Blackbeard. The family members that read this, I say hello, to the people that wishes that they were family, I will quote Little Brother and say; We are all family, some just don't realize it.
Safety Pin, I hope that you find a family and get a life.

SH.. I remember Cakes! The Cole St. house was where I first met Whitey. I had moved from Boulder to Jerome Az and came to SF for a week or so each trip. One or another of the GE brothers used to hitch over to Mill Valley to pick up "supplies" for us lost soles in AZ. This was in the early '70s. Can't remember what year. Charlie Blackbeard had moved there with Jenell{sp?}. They split up and Jenell hooked up with a GE brother { can't remember his name } and they used to come to Jerome to visit. The more that I read, the better the flash back become. Thanks

luvione, I have to PM you, Ranger, Shameless Heifer, And ChrisWah, but a message keeps telling me that I am not allowed to do this. I blew my nose and tried again, still said NO! I'm not the brightest light on the Christmas tree when it comes to using this site, so until I figure this out, I can't even read messages sent to me. Is there a guiding hand out there that will help educate me in this?

I have read all 12 pages of this again. I realized that I had been ask some ? that I had not responded to. Sorry. I have been clean and sober for a little over a year now, and my memory has been coming back a little at a time. So now I will try and address answers to ?s, and ask a few that I wanted to ask. ChrisWah. I had not thought about Officer Chastian in years. The first time that I went to jail in Boulder, it was for stealing his Gold helmet. That was the old jail. The second time was when Caesar Chavas was boycoting the liquior store for the farm workers. Coke Mike, Kenny Red Port and I were caught trying to make a run on Canyon Liquiors for some Platte Valley and Red Port. As for Las Vegas NM, Fast Eddy and I left Boulder and moved out to Cuba where we lived in a hogan down by a creek for awhile. Then we ended up in Morphy Canyon at Seven Room [Ledoux]. Izzy and a bunch of other people were there at the time. A short time after that I moved to Jerome AZ, Fast Eddy and Melvin showed up at my house and we moved back to Seven Room and spent a winter there. Once a month we hiked to Mora for food stamps and supplies. Eddy had a dog named Squiky. We came back from Mora on our once a month drunk and didn't put the food away and the dog ate what it could and destroyed the rest except for some beans. Eddy cooked dog for supper that night. At the end of winter I moved back to Jerome. That was the last time that I saw Eddy. Later heard that he died in a motorcycle wreak. Was your sister Candy, along with Daisy Mae and Peppermint Paddy [I think] the same Candy that when Chastian and his buddies came up to the hilltop, would do a little dance and flip their skirts up and sing a song about skanky pussy? If so tell her that I said HI! Any body hear any thing about Little Chris or her sister T ? It just registered that you are/were fighting lymphomia. I pray that all is going well with this. Shameless Heifer, Did you know Black Lee in Days Creek? On one of my trips to Areagun I stayed with him and worked as a hodad. I knew him from Boulder. He and my sister [blood and family] Mamma Karen were best of friends. My pick and peck are getting tired now so BYE for now.

Fast Eddie is still around...heard he was parking cars at the Rainbow mudfest. There's a great pic of him on mainstream web images; we googled 'hippie' one day & there Fast Eddie was flashing a peace sign & a smile

Hippiestead; Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea if the Fast Eddy you saw on the website [I couldn't find it] had one ear or two? The Fast Eddy that I have wrote about had a brother[blood] named Jerry. If I remember right, their last name is Serrintino[Spelling?] Cliff

Hippiestead, That picture looked more like me [ when I had hair ] than the Fast Eddie that I was talking about. He had a light brown afro. Also he lost an ear when he got to close to a bar owners Bull Mastaf. Thanks for giving me the info.
