How do you perceive scorpios (sun and rising) Do you find them interesting, intimidating, mysterious/dark, sexy, magnetic, confident, etc. I know many factors come into play and this is very general but i'm just curious about others perceptions.
I find scorpios to be intruiging. They have a neat mystery about them. It makes you want to get to know them more. But, they don't let you or at least it will be too late and can blow up in your face and you didn't want to know those things about them. Or, they will retaliate badly against you if you try to go up against them. My ex boyfirend was a scorpio and he was a very great guy. I am a gemini and we were opposite in many ways. I don't think he was your average scorpio, or at least like the other scorpios that I know. He was an overtly sexual person which was a turn on from the get go, lost my virginity to him. He was not intimidating, very friendly, personal private type, and emotional about family type things. He was definately magnetic as he was very popular and confident in himself.
i love scorpios. theres something about them that attracts me. i am a virgo and i think i get along with them the best. i think its because they are wild and they defy boundaries in an exciting and daring way. its almost like they are playing out the person i am on the inside, but on the outside im alot more prudish than that. i wish i could act like that though. sometimes i can when im around a scorpio.
My rising sing is a Scorpio. So I feel like I understand them... kinda. Scorpio's seem to have a mystery about them by nature, and I've been told that very thing about myself, so I feel I identify with them a bit. I dated one on the cusp (Oct23). That was insanity. Only cuz he seemed so much more the Libra... I'm just mentioning that
I was just curious what others thought because im a scorpio rising and as far as I know, I haven't come across very many scorpios. There is one at my work but we don't talk much. Im wondering if its because we are both reserved to a degree. We talk to the other people at work, just not each other...
Here is what Johannes Angelus wrote in the 15th century about people with Scorpio rising: "The horiscope in Scorpio signifies the native to be acute in youth, angry, subject to many misfortunes, but afterwards happy, and given to much mirth; if Jupiter behold him by any aspect, they will be famous, religious, and magnified by their own studies, always high spirited, running into some danger by reason of their friends or business, and after many infortunes by the loss of children, they shall rejoice in an happy offspring. Leo in Midheaven (10th house), signifies the native shall be wearied with many labours, and obliged to some great person for honor and mainenance; he will be valliant, and in process of time flattered by many; and by this means will raise many others: he will be placed in some authority, and increase his estate left him by his father. Taurus in the west angle (7th house), signifies the native shall always be opressed with many adversaries, always covetous of venerous acts, and subject to some infamy or disgrace; he shall get an estate, and lose it again, and afterwards regain it again. Aquarius in the fourth house, signifies danger of life by water, and to whomsoever the native shall be profitable, they will always be ingrateful to him." Ok first of all this is a summary, but I have found this is a good guide. I've used it in natal readings and had good results, but this doesn't take the place of a full reading. I use this as quick snapshot. Also, about the loss of children, the wonderful astrologer Lee Lehman said that you have to temper some of the many indications of loss of children because child and infant mortality is much less than it used to be. However, I have found than when I see these kinds of indications, it will mean difficult pregnancies and children will have health problems early on. I don't know if you're male or female though, so that makes a difference obviously. Traditionally, Scorpio is ruled by Mars, so keep an eye on him in your chart. Mars will generally be your main significator.
where did you find those descriptions? is there a website based on Angelus's analysis? or do you have a book?
You said mars is significant sense it is scorpios ruler. Well, my mars is in libra which is also my sun sign and yet venus- ruler of libra - is in scorpio...lol
oh - I don't know much about aspects and things like that. Like you said, you really have to "dig" to find usefull and thorough information, especially on the web.
