Yeah, I know there's probably a topic about this already, but I really don't feel like searching.. So, my wisdom teeth are coming in. They hurt like a bitch and I'm probalby gonna have to get them out soon. Would anyone reccommend smoking after I get them out? I'm sure it would help the pain alot, besides the pain killers I'll probably be getting, but I don't wanna have dry sockets are whatever they're called from smoking.
you should wait a day or so atleast, so you don't dislodge the blood clot, other than that, beats me. just enjoy them meds
Don't bother, I LOVED getting my wisdom teeth out, and didn't smoke at all I got nitrous while they did it, and lots of oxy over the next week. The only thing that sucks is that you can't eat solid food for a bit. Which may be hard to resist stoned lol.
I love yogurt so I just ate a bunch of that afterwards. I didn't actually smoke pot at the time they were out, I did enjoy my vikoden prescription.
dont forget to menyion to your doc that last time you got vicodin it didnt really work and that you need oxycodone this time, remember??
not a smart idea. when you get them out you have the hole still there. you can easliy get dry sockets. these hurt very badly and then you will have to go back to the dr. if you were to do it just make some weed tea or something instead of smokin it.
...Except that you can't eat solid food for a while after you get 'em out. Just mix some in your chicken broth or something, haha. All of my wisdom teeth are in except for my bottom left one, which just started... it's being a pain in the ass, too. I was supposed to have the bottom ones out in September but that got cancelled and I can't have them out at least until after May... bah! I have no room on the bottom, I'm worried it'll end up cracking some teeth 'cause there isn't enough room (and I have really soft teeth to begin with).
i'm getting mine out soon too. it sucks. though, mine starting coming in like 3 years ago, and they have already erupted through the gums, so the whole procedure wont be as bad. but i'm still not looking foreward to it.
I only have to have my bottom ones out, the top ones get to stay. I would have had to have one of mine cut out (the bottom left) and I was totally looking forward to it after all the trouble the other one gave me, wanted to get rid of 'em before the left one started coming in. Arrgghh.
if you can get them out before they really come in. once they start gettin big the roots go down further which then takes longer to heal. the day after your surgery your mouth is goin to hurt like hell in the morning.
Mine were lodged and had to go through minor surgery since none were exposed..... I don't think you'll even want to smoke for a while, but my suggestion is to wait a week... it will still feel weird, but you'll be ok...unless you receive stitches like I did
i got all four of mine out at the same time. i know they say not to smoke, but i did. i took it easy and only smoked a couple times but i was fine. i think that the sucking action is what you really want to avoid, aka don't hit the bowl so hard or drink from straws, etc... although i'm sure the smoking is not really a GOOD idea. ps, i only got tylenol with codeine for mine, which do absolutely nothing.
Sometimes if you require heavy painkillers, they'll drug test you... My dad sprained his ankle really bad a few weeks ago (it's still bruised/swollen) and they drug tested him and gave him some generic crap that didn't even work, haha...
My friend got hers taken out, didn't use any of the Vicodins they gave her and has the bottle sitting in her room. She's not a drug user and I'm trying to get her to give me the bottle but she says she doesn't want to "fuel my drug use".
You'll be fine, it's not bad at all. I don't reccommend smoking because the suction can rip out your stitches or cause a "dry socket" which is extremely painful. And of course infection, too. Just relax, eat ice cream and enjoy the free pain meds.
