Does anyone know what Snakes mean in dreams?

I keep dreaming of this snake crawling down a tree. Same snake. Sorta like a brown & black python... nothing special.

Can anyone interpet this for me? thanks...

dream dictionary is very misleading.
the tree could represent yourself, or your own growth as a person.

 

think about what a snake means to you, what it represents. for instance, if you're scared of snakes then they could represent fear.

 

snakes in dreams mean enemies , it could be some people around you who envy you about something you own or kind of , im afraid to say HATE..im sorry but its the truth

Well, I can try. My mentor had a lot of dreams about snakes when he was little. He also had the habit of accidentally entering other people's dreams. Problem was, he LIKED snakes. He didn't even mind them biting him. Sure it stung, but to him it was like when a small puppy gnaws on your hand. As it turns out, years later he found out that snakes are actually symbols of wisdom. Snake bites? An infusion of wisdom. The snake climbing down the tree could be a representation of a calling. The snake is descending the tree, hoping for you to follow it, accept it, and therefore gain a little wisdom. Trying asking the snake what it desires, assuming you have this dream again.

 

Snakes are symbolic of different things. . Snakes are often seen as symbols of life, death and rebirth. In North American native tribes, the shedding of the snake's skin is associated with life and a new beginning.

Snakes are also seen as symbols representing evil. The bible uses the symbol of the serpent in the Garden of Eden to represent Satan. In other cases the snakes is seen as a phallic symbol.

I think snakes in your dreams are a sign that you will be betrayed by someone close to you. Like if you get bit by a snake in you dream.
