Ween - White pepper is the best album in my opinion
Opeth - Damnation only the other stuff is way to Dark, Damnation has kind of a jazzy feel to it
The Flaming Lips - either At war with the Myistics or Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

This guy is the ONLY one of you who knows where it's at, in my opinion anyway.

Don't get me wrong, most of you guys have classically good music taste from what you have said but.... Radiohead while tripping? Too creepy. Pink Floyd? Too archetypal. Modest Mouse? What?

Shpongle! I cannot stress Shpongle enough. They are a tance band MADE to make you trip harder. Guarenteed to make you trip harder, no matter what.

Godspeed You Black Emporer! is intense. Period. These guys build and build until at the end you are like HOLY FUCK I FEEL LIKE I JUST SHPONGLED A LION! Really intense.

Wooden Wand & The Vanishing Voice. These guys are really wierd and slow. Put them on at a low tempo in a quiet warm house. They are very strange but absolutely amazing background music for nonmusic oriented acid parties.

I have a few more but those three tie for tops, no doubt.
