Another sensory pleasure for me besides barefooting is music. I love music; it's been embedded in my heart for a few years now.

So what music do you listen to or think of when your'e barefooting?

For me, it's Primus. There are a few reasons for this:

    1. My addiction to Primus has timed out to my addiction to shunning shoes.
    2. Primus is very... different, but great! :)
    3. Most people don't do Primus. Most don't go barefoot either.
    4. Many people think Primus is unusual. Same for barefooting.
    5. Actually, most people have a disgusted look when hearing Primus. There are disgusted looks with bare feet as well.
    6. Oh, and my parents like neither my barefooting habit nor Primus. But I still love my parents. :)

So now I ask again: What's your barefootin' soundtrack? I can't wait to hear it. :)

I find anything with a percussive beat to be a good soundtrack, and that is a good definition of Primus, so I agree that they would be a good band for walking, barefoot or not.

But my most recent playlist for the last barefoot walk I went on was the new Rush album, Snakes & Arrows.

I also loaded up the Lost Season 2 original score from Michael Giacchino - I felt like one of the Others, barefooting through the jungle while listening to this album. :)

Dude, Rush is my #1 band and Snakes and Arrows is my favorite album. My old favorite was Hold Your Fire, but Snakes and Arrows blew it out of the water! [IMG]

I don't seem to have a preference. The music I like is just as good while I'm barefoot as when I'm wearing shoes.

Yeah I really like Rush, although I must admit I've not been as much into their more recent music, until this last album which is a great return to their heavier roots. In particular, I like going barefoot to "Tom Sawyer" strictly for the literary connection to Mark Twain's fictional barefoot character. :)

I like to listen to pretty much everything but Linkin Park, System of a Down or Green Day are my favorites in general and while barefoot.

    To quote Green Day:

    I wanna be the minority,
    I don't need your authority,
    Down with the moral majority,
'Cause I wanna be the minority.

They used to be my favorite band... I still do listen to them occasionally.

Call me normal or the like, but I prefer Bob Marley or any of his spawn.

I like American Idiot a great anti-bush song

Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
    Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along in the age of paranoia.

Is anyone here familiar with Amethystium? They're a kind of new age techno easy listening instrumental group that's very soothing to listen to. On one of their albums they actually have a song entitled "Barefoot" that has a very upbeat, almost childlike wonder to it. It's incidentally my favorite song of theirs (and not even because I'm a barefooter either).

There's also one local to North Carolina called Barefoot Manner. And I believe they perform barefooted too (or at least used to).
