I harveted some mushrooms in May this year. I tripped once in may and still had a few mushrooms left so I thought id save them for later.

I dried the mushrooms out and they have been sitting in a plastic bag inside a jar with a small packet of silicon- moisture absorbant in the jar.

They have recently been showing signs of mould- small, spotty, grey patches.
Its nothing serious yet but if anyone could give me some advice on what to do with them it would be greatly appreciated.
Will the mould effect the potencey?
I plan to trip sometime late dec-mid jan, so I just need them to hold out then.

As long as they are fully submerged in honey, they will be good forever.

You should discard them if there is mold growing on them. Perhaps it is harmless, but there is always the chance that it will make you violently ill while you are already under the influence of a hallucinogenic drug.

Do not eat those. Molds can be deadly. They can also make you so sick that you wish you were dead. Sorry, but they just weren't dried well enough. Honey would have worked in the beginning, but it's too late now. Sorry.

Thats cool there was only a little mould on some of the caps which I discarded. Il give them a quick rinse under the tap and pop them in honey.
Should I put them in honey chopped up or whole?

Just because you can't see the mold doesn't mean it's not there. You should not put them in honey at all. You should throw them away. I know it's hard, but it's not worth the risk of possible death or extreme sickness.

Sorry to sound like a dick, but this could be pretty serious and I don't want it on my conscience that I told some guy to eat moldy shrooms and he died from it.

I appreciate your concern, but he mould is barely present. There was only a very small amount on one of the caps which I only discovered under a magnifiying glass.
However I will probly end up throwing the out.

Just a thought. If I put the them in some high percentage alcahol, the psilocybin would dissolve into the alcahol while the mould would be killed..... yes?

If you don't know what the mold is, then you don't know what dissolving it in alcohol will do.
