hey so i have this friend and is this all about him, but im going to talk in first person as if i am him: so i have a mushroom hook up in florida, but i live in virginia. i came up with an idea, and i wanted to see if anyone else has had any experience mailing mushrooms. I could have the shrooms mailed from florida to a PO Box here in virginia. They would be mailed in standard packaging and have no return address. They would be sent to my PO Box, but with a random name. so if anything were to happen, could i still get in trouble if the name on the package was different than my own? Couldn't i just say that i had no idea what the package was/where it was from/or who "random name" is? would this work? help me out here
yes it will work fine. my "friend" has done it many times... lol also, its best to put your real name on the package even if it is slightly misspelled. they cant prove you knew it was coming. if they do find it they will just send you a letter saying the package was ceased.
Mushrooms are illegal. Oddly enough, the spores aren't. The chances of getting busted for mailing shrooms is pretty low. Most drug dogs have no training for them. Postal inspectors are no different. Make the package out just like you were mailing anything else. Might as well use regular names WITH a return address. Packages without a return address raise a red flag. In the event you are popped, using false names won't help you. The moment you accept the package, you're guilty of possession. Overall, I'd do it. Low risk. You can buy mushroom kits. I'd rather grow my own anyway. x
well i actually am in the process of growing, about 2-3 days from birthing my cakes... its just i have a ton of friends who are trying to get in on shrooms with me, but im not going to have nearly enough fruiting to provide for everyone, and shrooms are extremely hard to come by here (and when you do its $10/gram). thanks for your input though, you really helped to set me at ease. peace
do you think that my friend should take any extra precautions in mailing the mushrooms? how should he package like a QP? also, is anyone familiar with the prices of PO boxes? is it required that one buy one for a year or are there smalller rental periods? help?
Pack them down in jars of peanut butter. Open the seal with out breaking it or completely removing it. Then remove the middle of the peanut butter and pack the shrooms down in there. Pack peanut butter back on top and then super glue the seal back on. Works great with coffee too!
OH, by the way, now is the best time to ship because of all the holiday cookies and treats going through the mail. And I would use UPS or FEDEX. Stay away for the postal service.
