I just recently started trying to work with these, They have a ton of potential for shading/textural possibilities, But I can't seem to get a good technique with them. Anyone here have any tips for a beginner? Also I'm finding it difficult to find many examples of good oil pastel drawings, anyone have any you can post?

I don’t know much, but you better start experimenting with solutions, turpentine grease and all things you find handy! Texture is close to sculpting and that is what I do…
Try everything! You may find something new!

Try to be original that's what I do pastel is simple tehnic so you'll get used to it easy, you don't need examples of oil pastel drawings you should make the drawings so free your self when you are drawing
