does anybody know if most police/security dogs are trained to sniff out mushrooms?

i would assume not because of their relative rarity and infrequent trafficking, but i was just curious to see if anyone knew otherwise?

the reason i ask is that a friend wants to know if it would be safe to carry about an ounce of powdered shrooms on his person through airport security...

let me know if you have any solid information..
    thanks

i dont believe dogs can tell magic mushrooms from normal mushrooms. theyre trained in drugs like cannabis, and stuff up higher on the scale. ive personally never heard of a bust of mushroom trafficers or any dogs sniffing it up. carrying it through you may be an issue, they might search u etc. maybe wrapping it in a bag, and wrapping in ur shirts and putting in luggage would be better =/

i doubt it, put it in a container that is labeled to contain something powdered, a drink mixture or something. And there are so many strains of psychedelic mushrooms there is no way they could train a dog to detect them all

so is there a general consensus that packing it away in the luggage itself is a better idea than just pocketing it?

^ yup i believe so. i had a knife in my luggage while traveling = no problems. i got it as present while abroad- a camo swiss army. there were signs all over with what u cant have - guns knives etc. i put my knife in my suitcase, deep between some socks and was fine.
