8 Cucumbers-cut in spears, blended with a cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 garlic clove and 2 t. fresh dill plus dash turmeric- refrigerate 8 hours= wonderful healthy pickles. Crispy Potato Skins-Cut the skins off of potatoes or sweet potatoes- bake one hour- if wanted top with dill or basil pesto or sprinkle with parmesean cheese Yam chips- cut 2 small yams in 1/8 inch slices- coat both sides with basil, oregano and onion powder... OR anise and fennel or cayenne.... bake half hour at 425. Cut up some veggies and dip in this - chickpea pate- cup chickpeas or garbanzos-drained, save liquid... .3 T. onion, chopped, 3 T. parsley, chopped, 1 clove garlic minced, 1 t. basil, 1/2 t. oregano, 1/4 t. cumin, 2 T lemon juice, 1 T liquid from chickpeas.... blend well and dip veggies in... or dip the veggies in cottage cheese mixed with 3 T. lemon juice, 1 T. onion, chopped, 2 T. parsley, chopped, 1/2 t. garlic powder and onion powder (ranch flavor) Hardboiled or deviled eggs are good snacks and you can make the deviled eggs super healthy by adding apple cider vinger, flax oil and lemon juice.

Canned pumpkin is great added to a simple black bean soup...thickens it and you cant even taste it BUT it adds TONS of nutriants.
I found 3 rules worked for me: 1) Cut out processed foods as much as possible. 2) Follow the food guide as much as possible (especially eating more vegetables and fruits) 3) Cook as many meals from scratch as possible. I also try to switch whole wheats for white whenever I can.
Yep... pretty much the basics. Shop around the parametes (spelling) of the grocery store an pretty much just go down the isles for stuff like canned tomatoes, beans, etc.
