yay! i'm going to see Alicia Keys tonight at a club in DC! i'm excited, but i think it'll be too crowded. i never liked being in a club when it was too crowded. i guess cuz i'm so short i sometimes feel like i'm invisible. in the past i would get frustrated then angry then i would make my own room - not very politely.. now i just try to avoid it.. but my friend had some free passes and i love Alicia Keys! i couldn't say no! i'm just hoping that i don't lose my cool in the crowd.
She is so freakin' talented! I like her style. One of my favorite things is that she proves that girls don't have to get nekkid to make it in the modern music industry.
Ya know, when I first heard her new song I was like "ummmm yeah thats kinda hard on the ears" but then I listened to it a few times more and I really like it...or at least most of it. I'm sure you'll have a great time seeing her live.
She has a great voice and she can play the piano wonderfully I'm sure... but I can't stand her music. It's great though how she's getting famous on talent instead of publicity stunts. Have fun!
i just gotta say.. you get what you pay for.. i paid nothing so that's what i got.. the guy that hooked my friend up with tickets failed to tell us, or didn't know that we needed a wristband to get to the 2nd floor while she was performing! we were already in the club when we found out. i'm sure if we would've went outside to get the wristbands across the street, we would've only gotten upset because the concert was sold out, and we wouldn't have been able to get back inside. oh well... i tried to have fun, but it was just disappointing.. maybe next time.
