How many of you all are Sublime fans? Personally I love them.. probably the one band (well along with Bob Marley) that I still regularly listen to and have been listening to since I was real little. Brad lyrics and the mix of reggae, punk, ska and hip-hop makes their sound so unique but also so, so dope. Just takin some bong rips listenin to Stand By Your Van and wanted to see how many other fans post on this board. Also what do you all think of Long Beach Dub Allstars? I love them probably just as much.. its tragic Brad died the way he did but his friends really kept his music alive.

    Brad Nowell R.I.P.

also does anyone have the album Jah Won't Pay the Bills or know where to get it?

I've always liked them, but never been a super fan. I have some friends who are really into them, to the point that they trade bootlegs and all that stuff. I worked some shows with them back in the mid 90s. Once in Hartford Brad was so hammered that he crashed his moterized scooter(remember those) into the back of a trailer broke his ankle and fucked up his face. Seems like alot of their appeal is in the lyrics, very few bands out their sing about life on the edge in suce a realistic way, without glorification or moralizing.

I'm pretty much a sublime junky, although moreso in the summer time cuz i live right by the beach and they're perfect music to party on a beach to. Such a good time drinkin a good beer and smokin a blunt right by the ocean jammin' to some sublime. Lately though i've been getting tired of them, only cuz there's only so much music to listen to since they are no longer a band and havent been for over 10 years. RIP Brad

brad nowell was a great musician and sublime was a very unique sound. but LBDAS is better than sublime, in my opinion. awesome how LBDAS used a brad nowell sample in one of the songs.

ever listen to Long Beach Shortbus? i think it's bud gaugh's band after he split with LBDAS...

you mean slightly stoopid is similar to them... sublime and LBDA are some of slightly stoopid's biggest influences.
