Never buy a tofurkey. They tasted horrible. I used veggie gravy and sauces to flavor it up in the oven and nope it still tasted horrible! I thought I did everything right. Did anyone have a tofurkey and did it taste good? Peace
I didnt have any problems with my tofurkey. I liked it. My carnivorous relatives liked it too. Though, I've never tried it just plain - it HAS to have gravy on it (I used the tofurkey mushroom "giblet" gravy)
I used that too. the gravy was just as bad in my own opinion. I'll just stick tom y veggies next time! drumminmama, slices of what? what brand? Thanx!
The fake turkey slices are disgusting too... I never had any faith in the tofurky either. That sucks it came out bad, just make some yummy veggie stuffing
the tofurky i made was yummy! i cooked it in the crockpot with potatoes, carrots, onion, braggs, orange juice and agave nector. it's probably the 10th one i've made... did you get an old one,expired? i had one the next night too that someone else had cooked following the box directions.. and it was good too. i once bought one and cooked it and it was funky.. then i realised it had expired! i was mad.. oh well.
tofurkey is awesome if u cook it too long or not long enough it will be bad a coworker and myself bought the tofurkey box that comes with gravy and vegetarian stuffing, it was tasty
