Anyone good with MySQL databases willing to mentor?

I'm really bad when it comes to databasing and all the normalization and such. Is there anyone who can help me out when I have questions or confusion? I have aim and msn, and could do email or private messaging. I really want to learn this, and I know the basics of how to make a database, but when it comes to designing them in a way where they are actually functionable, I'm hopelessly lost.
