Unfortunately I don't feel quite like this anymore... still happy but in a more hectic, unpredictable way, and reliant more on outside things. I feel for the mule with the crusty knees Who hauls tangerines And stares blankly into space, Yet I cannot help but hug myself with Delight at the sight. Choking on my rice leads to Laughter through watery eyes. I greet a coming cold (achoo!) With the joy of garlic. I wiggle my toes with the delight of it all. Dance in my head as I walk down the street. Slide on the slippery floor in cheap shoes. I love the good and the bad equally. Every detail glows, every frown smiles. Tomorrow will pictures of pack animals Cut the misery of the world into my eyes? Will I bang my toe on a stray metal pole And swear and curse into the air that surrounds me? Ay me, I love you now, and I love you now.
