so, i havn't washed my hair in a few weeks. my hair hasn't been wet for a while, and now i got a couple zits along my hairline. my mom says it's cause of head oil build up. has this happened to anyone, and, is this something my body will adjust to? thanks.

Yup, happens to me a lot. It's because the oil is blocking your pores. You need to thoroughly cleanse your hairline else it'll keep happening.

Wash your hair with tea tree oil shampoo every now and then, i use to always use the face wash for pimples and blemishes and crap,
    i assume it'll help even if it's shampoo :)

I would say that's a sign you should wash at least your hairline, if not the rest of your hair. Maybe try wiping some witch hazel where you tend to get the zits. It will help get rid of some of the oils causing the zits

I had the same problem when i started spacing out my washing more. Your hair will adjust to it soon enough and stop producing as much oil then it'll sort itself. Or you can just wash it more and that'll sort it! Just start make sure you wash your forehead/hairline every morning and night to keep it super clean, that will help alot too.

so, pretty much, zits are just my head's way of telling me to wash my hair...

or it just needs more time to adjust to less frequent washings. what i do is wash when my hair starts to feel icky and itchy. it used to happen after a week, now its like 3 weeks before it needs a wash.

i get this sometimes too, but it's more along the back of my hairline, and almost like little sores. i'm going to try the witch hazel.

Wash your headgear too! Hats, scarves, headbands - these things all rub against your hairline and collect oil and dirt.
