Does anyone know if this actually works? You basically eat some 1-tryptophan and an MAOI to increase serotoinin levels which lets it be converted to dmt/derivitaves?? Im quite skeptical, but don't completley understnad the chemistry behind it
how does it work? it doesn't. too much serotonin and you get serotonin syndrome. not so much fun. the whole your brain making DMT thing is still just a theory, and the converting excess tryptophan into DMT is down right false.
Perhaps as far as tryptophan and an MAOI combination is concerned, but this doesn't mean that their isn't some combination of substrate and enzyme(s) that can induce biosynthes to DMT or more likely 5-meO-DMT.
DMT isn't produced by the brain, but rather the peripheral tissues. the enzyme INMT isn't typically expressed in the brain. DMT is likely produced via tryptophan metabolism, but it's antagonistic to serotonin production. here's the plausible pathway Biosynthesis_of_DMT_from_tryptophan.doc
The three bioactive proteins: the thermobiles - serus albumin, alpha lactalbumin and lactoferrin. As shown from the meditation research on spirit molecules below, alpha lactalbumin increases the following neurotransmitters and amino acid tryptophan -> serotonin -> melatonin -> pinoline -> 5-MeO-DMT (5-methoxy-dimethyltryptamine) -> DMT (dimethyltryptamine). MAOI (syrian rue) + 5HTP (tryptophan works also) + L-methionine (SAM works also) + B12 + B6 + folic acid = DMT refer to websites below for more info: http://www.acutcmdetox.com/tryptophan2.html http://dmt-nexus.com/doc/common%20reed.pdf I would think if you used maoi (syrian rue extract) + 2 5htp caps + 2 tryptophan caps + L-methionine + melatonin + 30mg psilocybin + 30mg 5-meo-dmt + 30mg DMT. This would probably be the ultimate psychedelic experience for an inward spirit journey but this part is my own untested theory.
having a hard time following this one. which enzymes decarboxylate, then cyclize melatonin to pinoline? even stranger...which enzyme demethoxylates 5-MeO-DMT??
