Screw Dr. Chronic

Based on what people have said here, and elsewhere, I thought Dr. Chronic would be a good place to buy seeds... Well, it wasn't. Here's the e-mail:

So, there's a waste of $70. Seeing as seeds are produced for free, I don't know why they can't afford to give me a refund, unless this kind of thing happens a lot.

Well.. Technically they are 'produced' for free, thinking of the phrase "money doesn't grow on trees" (but I get it, someone has to take the time and effort to grow the plants, but really the plants are doing all the work)... But anyway, the question is, how much money does Dr. Chronic (and all the other places) pay to get their seeds from the growers? I'm guessing there's a markup of like 10 times or something outrageous, as drug dealers do that so they can make huge profits. So why can't they give a refund everyone once in a while (unless there are tons of people who never get their orders, and want their money back).

Anyhow, I'm not sure what I'm going to do now.. I don't really see how an inconspicuous envelope (which, I did choose one of the 'stealth' options-that worked real well) can be confiscated, how the hell is anyone going to know what's in it.

This isn't the first problem I've had with ordering such things from England; I ordered a glass bong once, and when it got here it was completely shattered. I guess I'll try Canada next, it seems those limies don't know what the hell they're doing.

 

ive never orders seeds online but ive never grown yet either. if i were to start out growing i would just use seeds from some good pot that i get from around here. i dont see the need to buy seeds unless you have a really good set up going.

as for pipes and stuff i have ordered from a site in the us and its came through all fine. chunky glass pipes is the place and im glad i came to this forum they sure helped me alot. you can find my thread on here from that if you ever need to order bongs or pipes or something. stuff like that isnt illegal because its ment for tabacco. isnt that what everyone smokes out of them anyways

 

Thats a real bummer that happened. I've heard good things about Dr Chronic too. I understand that it can happen to anything, but I also see you point.

Maybe, a policy of reshipping at cost or a big discount would be reasonable. I don't think there's anything to be done, but I doo agree that they could be a little more reasonable about replacements. The way I see it, they know they're selling into a "hostile" territory and do so willingly because of more business. Reaching a compromise would also ensure that you order from them again

That happens, customs might have snagged them, you take that chance when you order seeds. Seeds are illegal in the US, they really don't owe you anything. I've heard about a year ago that dr chronics stealth had gone down hill, but I've never ordered from him so I can't really say. I've never lost a package from seedbay.

Seeds aren't made for free though, that's a joke man, breeding is a lot of work. Check out mendel's laws and imagine applying that on a large scale to a plant that's illegal...

yea its gotta be even more hard work to make good quality seeds. then the grower has to make sure to pollenate the right plants so the strains dont get fucked up. the op much think that they just have to grow some pot and sell the seeds. if they are selling legit strains theres alot of work involved and making sure they are good seeds.

 

Doc WILL do a partial resend on large orders. 1 breeder pack however, is not a large order, and you just got raped by customs... most of us have had this happen at some point. Its a risk YOU take when ordering quality seeds online... which is a necessity in the USA unless you drive to canada.

i've ordered from chronic , and a few others , uk, spain, canada , , you cant expect seed banks to take your word you sent payment , thats why theres express mail, comes with tracking number , but in thaught if 70 bucks hurt you that bad , better stick with bag seed, you gotta in mind , these guys are take chance of going to jail for a long time , dont think thats to free, just the fact they attemp to send you seeds , could get them in big trouble ,( Mark Emery), best to send money order anyway, you can't get in trouble them sending you sends for you have no control what people send to you , so our lovly goverment would rather throw them away, i never had trouble with chronic , in fact thier one of the better ones

 

I ordered several different seed strains from Dr Chronic. I recieved my first order of Satori, Hashberry, and MP5K. The MP5K was OUTSTANDING!!!

I placed a second order with Dr Chronic and never recieved my order. When I contacted him by email he was an asshole about it and told me that not getting my seeds is a risk I have to accept when ordering weed seeds.

Since then I have ordered seeds from several different companies and have always recieved my order.

I agree screw Dr Chronic, there are lots of other reputable seed companies out there.

 

Ok, Wow. All the hostility towards Dr. Chronic. I am a new grower, I have just transplanted my first seedlings and put them under a MH for the veggie state, which I hope the finished product will return the favor in the end putting me in a veggie state. I did not order my seeds online I took then from the best smoke I could get my hands on that had seeds but I will buy online when I have my first successful harvest. I plan on only buying a small order when I do and If I cannot afford to lose $70.00 I will wait until I can. I will not sell my harvest but let me immagine a scenario if I did....

Lets say a guy named Dick sends over a friend to buy a small satchel of herb from me, as the friend pulls out of the drive and heads down the street he gets pulled over and searched. When the police discover the 1/8 ounce of high grade kush in his pocket they confanscate it and issue the young man a ticket (In Kansas anything under an ounce is a misdemeanor). Haveing never received his herb Dick comes to my place and insists on me replaceing his bag because it got confanscated by the police. I explain to him that I held up my end and if the herb was lost in transit it is not my obligation to replace it. So Dick throws a hissy fit because he's too damn broke to spend another $70.00 on another satchel and expects that I should eat my prophets and take a loss because Dick is so damn special. When I tell Dick to go F#*k Himself he bashes my name on the internet telling everyone what a no good son of a ditchweed farmer I am. Thats just the way Dick is, take a bong hit Dick and cough up another $70.00.

 

Doc is still a reputable seedbank, it's not fair to say he's not. Orders get seized in customs from every vendor out there, it's just what happens in the USA.

You have to remember the huge risk they take by even attempting to send to you. Yes it sucks when they go missing (postal employees are thieves too u know)...
