This is directed to everyone within 75 miles of New York city. Please aim your television antennas towards NYC and tune to channel 11. South park is on and it’s the one where Cartman thinks he's dead. Its awesome.

I'm going to NYC on Thursday. Going to go to Strand Books store, walk the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall, the Museum of Modern Art and then eat falafels.

    I'm excited.

I really enjoyed the Museum of National History, actually. I learned that there is no such thing as a Brontosaurus and in fact, the correct species is the Apatosaurus. The scientist who originally discovered both species, documented and named the Apatosaurus initially only to find another species later which he called Brontosaurus. However he later confirmed that they were the same species.

Also, I had never seen a fossilized Mastodon until I went there. Here is the picture I took of it:

I had heard speculations that the Greeks had uncovered Mastodon remains, believed that it was some kind of giant or monster and thought that the hallowed out grove in the middle of the front part of the skull was believed to be where a giant eye might have been. There is conjectural evidence that suggest perhaps the Mastodon could be the original Cyclopes monster within Greek Mythology.

The saber-tooth tiger fossil was pretty wicked. It was significantly larger than a male lion, however the bite strength was much weaker than scientists originally thought. There is new evidence that the saber-tooth tiger (which is actually a cat species, much like a mountain puma) used its over-sized K9's to puncture the jugular of its prey and make a quick kill.

Eh. Anyway, I enjoyed myself. I liked dinosaurus when I was growing up.
