Linville Gorge In North Carolina

    Has anyone ever backpacked in the Linville Gorge area in the North Carolina mountains? If you have what trails have you hiked? I have been on Cabin Trail, Babel Tower Trail, and Sandy Flat trail. Sandy Flat trail is a very steep climb with rock face at end, (Something to be said about that title).

    No, haven`t been in North Carolina since "79" when I was 16. Was hoping to go to Hyden Kentucky in next few weeks to see specail friend, not sure now. But was gonna hit Fayettville to see friend there. But again depends on Hyden. Need to get out of New york if possible to clear my head... gotta smile or go crazy. Someday would love to hit the mountains.
