    hello
electrical question. picture a grow box Lx5 Wx3 and Hx6 holding one 400w MH light. so the light sits about 13" from one wall and 7" from the lid, all plywood.

question one: is it close enough to the plywood that i should worry about fire??

question two: is it safe to plugg a 400w lamp into a standerd outlet and leave it on 24/7 for a month. or is this a fire hazard.

if some one grows in the same type of conditions and has the answer to my questions thank you.

Shouldn't be a problem. You'll need some kind of venting or you will burn your plants.

that would depend on what else is on the cirucuit, that light alone would be about 3.5 amps...your allowed 12 amps on a circuit without it being a hazard (in ontario anyways)...for heat you will definatly need some sort of exhaust just to keep the temp down
