why is it that when somebody finds, say a fucking misspelling in the bible, they go online, and complain and try to back people up in their own religion?

i see no point of it.

I for one am Christian, im not the one to follow every single word the bible says, but i try to. Im a practicle person.

but i have to ask, what is up with all the anti Christian threads.
"i can prove you wrong!!1!!one!!" threads?

    i dont get it

It's because some people of some faiths think it is a good idea to replace science and rational thought with dogma. In government, education, and so on. Even science.

Because religion bring up alot of questions that need to be answered.
Whilst they are not answered, people want to know about them or try to proove their points that god does *not* exist by these threads...

It's just a calling card for a discussion, although we hardly get any proper discussions.

I don't know about misspellings, but there are a lot of "problems" per se with the Bible. I think for Christians in particular you have to draw the line yourself on whether your religious identity is going to be based on written word (orthodoxy) or spiritual experience (orthopraxy).

Actually, I hate to say this, but...I disagree. Religion brings up questions which can't be answered. Then religion uses stories and mythologies and whatever else to fill in the spaces. To answer irrelevant questions.

Why are we here? What's the meaning of life? What kind of questions are those? Why do they matter, and why should anyone care? They are merely distractions from life. But that's my view.

Those questions matter to most people, dare i say everyone at one point or more in their lives. Some religious ideas are actually very carefully thought out and while always debatable are still valuable.

Do you really find it that surprising with so many people like you (Christians who define themselves by the 'bible' and try to actually follow it) that other people wouldn't care to point out the perplexity of such a belief/action system? Especially when so much of global politics is governed from a 'Chrisitian' point of view?

People believe what they want, the problem is they talk to damn much. Sad but true most are very stupid.
