so i got my tongue pierced yesterday... i love it but i was wondering about how long will it hurt for? im taking really good care of it and everything
It should get much better withing the first week. I could eat comfortably within the first 3 days and it felt healed by day 7. You mouth is fast healing, especially if you take care of yourself by eating healthfully, resting, and not drinking or smoking in excess. However, don't think that because it doesnn't hurt its healed. It will take a while for it to be healed, so keep up those saltwater gargles and don't mess with it too much. Also, be careful not to break a tooth when the swelling goes down. I still have a chip on my tooth, and eventually had to take mine out do to poor placement. Cheers, Evan

Personally, my tongue ring only lasted about 6 weeks before I took it out because the placement was rubbing the roof of my mouth raw. It was poorly pierced, and thats why I had problems. So, because of the short time I had it and my lack of intimacy at the time, I have no experience on the giving end. Kissing someone with a tongue ring is fun, but I've heard its a matter of opinioin. It also opens up some interesting avenues with oral, which I liked. Cheers
i was a good kisser before, now i'm THE best :H kissing with a tongue ring is fun, i have NEVER have any complaints don't drink or smoke, don't kiss anyone for at least 3 weeks it takes 3/4 weeks for your tongue to heal and it's still not fully healed for quite sometime mix yourself some saline solution, 1 part salt to 8 parts water rinse with it, do not rinse with mouthwash cause the alcohol in mouthwash kills all bacteria, where the mouth has good and bad bacteria, the saline solution kills just the bad, it helps with healing drink protein shakes to help with the healing as well and use ibuprofen not asa, when taking stuff for the pain..just read the package it should tell you which one it is even after it's healed you still really have to take care of it, i've had alot of throat infections because i've gotten sloppy with taking care of it that's pretty much all the stuff i remember, my piercer gave me a booklet with more stuff in it, but i have no idea where that is didn't your piercer tell/give you anything?
hey thanks yeah ive been using saline solution and mouthwash at times though my mouthwash doesnt have any alcohol in it well my piercer gave me a small pamphlet in taking care of it thats pretty much it heh and now im excited now that you said kissing is fun
when i got my tongue pierced it was swollen for about two weeks but only hurt for the first. my smoking i'm sure didn't help it any. though i if i took it out i would never get it peirced again. it was too much of a hassle. and as far as kissing goes i was told i was a very good kisser before and now, let's just say i haven't had any complaints either.
hey sweet! well ive had mine pierced now for almost three weeks.. i love it so far but the bar is way too long now so i have to go get that changed out soon though the place is like an hour away which sucks so it might be a bit
