Really, you only had to look down a few threads. Is that so difficult? But I do appreciate your positive thinking and helpfullness regarding poor people. And everyone should donate rice to the poor!

we have a friend who gave us a free 50lb er of rice a couple of years ago. we're still working on it. got maybe still another 10-25lbs left in the bottem of the bag. and no weavils it yet either! must have been almost completely fresh when he gave it to us. (it was part of a stock pile he'd had for himself, before he broke up with his s.o. and moved into a smaller place and no longer had room for it) i DO like to cook with it, and it's good stuff. though i wish it was either stickier for making sushi or longer grained, but its ok. i'm pretty sure it was grown in state, even if from a large commercial opperation. couldn't bitch anyway it being free and all, but its turned out to be pretty darn good rice besides. =^^= .../\...
