Put your hands up for Kathmandu

    really out of curiosity right now... just thinking about this trip but i think it would be a trip of a lifetime... has anybody travelled to nepal?

    please share stories, experiences, and what to watch out for.

    hey there! I went nepal last dec for a camping trip, and it was great! great scenery..friendly people, nice weather. the food's not that fantastic though...its almost

    trekking is almost a must-do if you're really not up to climbing really high mountains...lol. I went with a group so im not sure about the procedures involved, but getting a guide is a pretty good idea.There're some pretty pleasant guest/tea houses up in the highlands at very reasonable prices also, and the food can be quite refreshing if you've been living on processed and GM foods all your life.

    but besides the fresh air, scenery, and the chance to visit like, little villages there really isint anything else to do when trekking. you might want to source around more the more pleasant tea houses and hotels in which you want to stay in, but generally those i've been to were not bad. (cant help you with their names tho >.< i clean forgot)

    and personally, i feel pohkara's nicer than kathmandu, not to mention that the air's cleaner too..
