It being an evil and pagan holiday and all... I go to halloween parties, and did trick or treat when I was a kid...but I'm not sure I'll be having my kids do it. What are all your thoughts on the matter?
i will take my kids trick and treating then i will eat all there candy then probaly hit a Rave. halloween raves are awesome!
Sprout and I are going to dress up as goths and take the kids trick or treating. Who cares if it was a pagan holiday? It's not like anyone is out drinking goats blood or something, we just want your candy. And it never was evil, as far as I know.
I love Halloween! I take the kids trick-or-treating, but I am not a Christian. As far as I know, the die-hard ones are against it and Harry Potter...... I used to post in a homemaker's forum, but they were a bit nutty about Christianity so I didn't hang around.
Actually I grew up never celebrating halloween because of it's pagan roots and all that. So now as an adult I dont even notice when halloween comes around. I forget about it untill I see all the halloween stuff for sale at the stores and everything. I have never been trick or treating and have never given out candy. But my parents would actually buy me and my sister large bags of candy on that day when we were little to make up for us not being able to go out and trick or treat for it like the rest of the kids
actually, my family didnt celebrate any of those holidays because they have pagan roots. And I never felt bad about it. My parents always made sure to give us presents and candy....we got that all the time, especially if a holiday was coming up because she didnt want us to feel like we had missed out. It didnt really seperate me from the other kids....I never felt like I was missing out on anything. And to this day I still dont feel that way. It of course might not be like that for all families though
I love halloween, and I still dress up every year. I think me and my brother might go as the blues brothers this year. I like getting to put on masks and pretend I am someone else.
I love halloween it is an awesome holiday. besides all of our holidays have somekind of pagan belief mixed in with'em. Halloween is great. I'll kick anyones ass who doesn't agree. one time i dressed up as the milk man and visited this one lady and nine months later her husband was looking for me. I did enjoy as a kid the smell of the cheap plastic masks that i wore. fuck you
I enjoy halloween as well and dress up every year too too bad hardly no one comes to my door...if they do, they arent even in a costume.. But i enjoy halloween, the haunted houses, seeing little kids all dressed up, halloween parties.. halloween is fun...
I live in a tree house in my parents backyard haha, yeah, lame joke this i know.. I live in apartments with nice houses down the street, so, my guess is that they go to the houses or they dont like what i pass out..fruitsnacks or if they are old enough, like in the teens, i make fun and slam the door in their face
I have always loved Hallowe'en....and every year since I moved out of my parents' house(four years ago) I decorate the shit out of my house and throw a huge Hallowe'en kegger and get everyone dress up. But it seems like some people think Hallowe'en is just for kids, so last year I threatened to charge money at the door to anyone who failed to dress up. It worked too. Nearly every single person came in some sort of costume! I think that dressing up is so fun, and I think when people dress up it makes them feel silly and happy.
It's a night where you can be something you're not, fool and scare people and not get into trouble, party hearty, and get free candy. ROCK ON!
i have always love halloween, always have celebrated it. I mean damn, even my super Christian Gramma gives out candy for halloween. My kids celebrate it too, I dress up and trick or treat with them It is one night of the year when you can be anyone or anything you want for a few hours without people thinking your whacko!!
I love halloween, its always been my favorite holiday...a great night to go to a party! Christian holidays are pagan based anyway, maybe they should pull the candy corn out of their repressed, primitive asses.
halloween is awesome. i love it. as a kid, i loved dressing up in costumes and getting candy...as i got older, i loved egging houses and toilet-papering trees and all the fun jazz and now, i just dress up and party. the joy of halloween for me is awesome. plus, i get candy...
