all the threads with punk in the title have posers and hippies ragging on punk. (and they wonder why punks hate hippies)so i just wanted one thread that we can talk about punk. and not have hippes and posers ruining it and making us pissed off.so forewarning just stay out if your a poser or a hippie. if your a hippie dont rag on fucking punk. you should be hugging a tree or protesting since you say punks only sing about it and dont act.....
so anyways i like old a new punk.

And yes, I like the Velvet Underground. They were one of the greatest bands in history. "Cheap Sex" was/is not.

 

60's garage rock with elements of avant garde and proto-punk. They're surely not a "punk" band. You see, The Velvets actually had skilled musicians and a great lyricist, unlike most, if not all, punk bands.

all punks are poseurs. if you think you are doing it to be a rebel, or go against the normal crowd, you are truely wrong. For there are alot of punks out there who think they are doing their own thing, when in all actuality you all are following a label. True punks are against labels, and if you even consider yourself a punk, in essence you are a poseur. plain and simple.

why cant people be an individual?? not follow some damn fad. I dont consider myself a punk, a hippie, a goth, nothing..... I dont follow any damn fad. most people can't figure me out, which is a good thing.

For someone claiming to not follow a trend, you sure are acting like the usual 'punk'. And I know you've heard this a thousand times, but whats with all the lables? do punks have to hate hippies? is it written in stone somewhere? Stop taking orders from Jello Barfria and Scott Ian, and stand up for yourself. Say "I was an arrogant little hormoin driven angsty teenager, I'm sorry god. Especially for being a faciast, but to confuse southerners, we'll say punk instead. Your not fooling anyone. And support music for what it is. Not what it looks like. I listen to awesome technical metal bands. And I dont have spikes on my wrist, and a black band tee shirt and jeans everyday. Punk lacks balls.
