What do you think about the Donnie Darko score? I'm talking about the instrumental music in the film... I personally think it's brilliant and love it. My favorite one definitely has to be: Manipulated Living. I remember saying how much I loved it when I first watched it... also: Slipping Away. This one is just so beautiful.

Now the 80's soundtrack... I don't really like that. Except maybe a couple songs, stuff by Joy Division or Gary Jules remix of Mad World... but I'll have to admit that the music is well chosen for the film and that it creates an atmosphere I like. I mean this isn't the movies forum and I'm not gonna talk about how great I think Donnie Darko is here... but yeah, it's great.

I like the original score and the 80's soundtrack--I think both fit the film perfectly.

But how can you not like "The Killing Moon" or "Under the Milky Way?"

It's too 80's pop for me, I don't hate those songs but it's not my style..

i like the soundtrack as well as the score both go so well with the mood in that movie and it takes place in 88 of october when i was born.. lol and it also takes place in middlesex nj which im not far from. having echo and the bunnymen and the church in it 2 songs i really like doesnt hurt to make me like the movie more i do like when they get of the bus and tears for fears come on with "head over heels" i know its very 80's pop but it goes so well with the school scene..
