you know when you have the feeling that your foots asleep?

different parts of my body has been doing that lately even when im active, not sleeping or laying down, my arms, hands-especially.

is there something serious?? has anyone had this happen to them frequently during a period of time. like a month????

    should i be worried?

I dont think u should be really worried. its just circulation probably, and getting worse cause the weather is getting colder. it happenes to a lot of people.
if its just ur ingers, then maybe its the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. but I really dont think so.

When I had injured my shoulder from playing too much volleyball. I had trouble with my hand and fingers going to sleep every time I would write. But after the chiropractor fixed my shoulder the "going to sleep problem" seemed to go away. Now it hardly ever happens to me. Peace be with you!!!

Dont visit a chiropractor. they are just a bunch of wannabe doctors.

Just speaking from experience. He and his wife have helped my wife and I a lot. Her with her back and me with my shoulder and back. My wife had been to many doctors, physical therpists, and other chiropractors before we meet this couple that practice together. We get along fine unless I call him a "bone-cracker". They tend not to like that title in the biz. LOL! Peace be with you!!!

chiropractors are wonderful for bad backs and headaches from poorly aligned spines.

It could be something serious. Things like diabetes and vitamin deficiencies can cause parts of your body, like your hands and feet, to feel numb. If it concerns you it might be a good idea to go to a doctor just to make sure.

It probably depends on how severe the numbness is and what brings it about. Most likely not anything serious if it's mild. You're probably a little young for diabetic nephropathy, and that usually affects the lower extremities first anyway. If it persists or worsens, go in to get it checked out just in case. Is it both sides? Anywhere else besides your arms? How long does it last for? Does anything in particular seem to bring it about?

Why do people keep saying "go see a doctor" this forum is for alternative soultions. I would reccomend seeing a Naturopath...

It could be blood-sugar related, do you have any other noticable symptoms? xo

me too... it's pretty characteristic from what i hear. i just vigorously shake the part of my body that's tingling and it usually goes away.

ive had the disorder since i was 11, but i have had the numbness and tingling in my hands and arms etc for a month. of course, we just lost our place (couldnt afford electricity, gas, rent) , and my family had to move into my moms till we can save up money to get a place closer to town, and ive been pretty stressed.

that might be it. i hope its not serious, i try to paint alot more, and type on the computer alot, to keep my fingers going, it helps a bit.

I am having a similar problem and don't know what to do about it.

I am having this feeling in my lower left leg ( under the knee and sometimes in the calf area).

Its not extremely painful but it is noticeable.

I got a blood test done by the doctor and it isnt diabetes or kidney problems and i dont think its a vitamin deficiency either.

Is this a serious problem does anyone know?

I know it isnt Deep vein thrombosis because it goes away with exercise or movement.

I dont know what else to do? Some people told me it could be muscle tension?

I am wondering if it could be brought on by bad posture?

Is it muscle problems or something worse? This doctor I went to didnt seem very helpful.

Anyone know what it could be?

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago, Dar. I ended up panicking because I couldn't feel my hands or feet. My doctor told me it's the cold weather and the stress I've been under.
