I need to do a book report for school, and was just looking for some recommendations for good books to read. I'm looking for something interesting, humorous, and enlightening. And remember I have to do a book report on it, so nothing too complex.

Well, I don't really know what kind of stuff you are interested in, and there are a lot of books out there that are interesting, humorous, and enlightening..

So, it all just depends on you and what sort of stuff you enjoy reading about. I mean, I can give you some reccomendations if you'd like, but I don't know how much that would help seeing as though my idea of an interesting book might be something completely boring to you. If I were you, I'd look over some of the other threads in this forum. There are a lot of good authors and books mentioned in here, and it would probably help give you some idea of what you might like to read better than someone just naming some.

There are always two types of books I've picked for book reports. The first-- A very difficult book by a very "uncommon" author. The second--An easy child's book with a deep, thought provoking(sp) inner meaning. It shows that you can see beyond the obvious(blatently obvious, in this case). Be creative about the report. Most of all though, don't forget to just write what you think every once in a while. My brother in an english teacher, and he says he hates it when kids write a report about the book, but not what they really think about it. I don't know what this means concerning your teacher, but I always go a little beyond when it comes to book reports. It could'nt hurt, could it?

I assume you're talking about The Little Prince?

I think the coolest book ever to do a report on would be Big Trouble by Dave Barry. It is the single funniest book I have ever read. A great selection of easily describable characters, a rich and funny story, lots beneath the surface. Did I mention it was really funny?
