A question about Catholicism and gay rights

I go to a Catholic High School and want to start an Amnesty International chapter there, but can't because AI is affiliated with the Gay-Straight Organization.

I am going to fight this. According to the handbook, we can't speak out against the church, BUT...The chuch believes that being gay, in and of itself, is not a sin, only sodamy is. Therefore, as long as we didn't advocate sodamy, we should be within the Catholic Church teachings. Right?

the only thing thats sick is you and what you have said in this thread, and if you think i'm going to hell, if going to heaven means being with people that express your points of view then I know which i'd prefere.

also i notice you only post in the christian forum, I suspect that you do this because you know exactly the reaction you would get if you posted in random thoughts

it's not a bhig deal and he's had no fear in stating his opinions clearly in here even though not all the christian in here have greeted them with pleasure.
he's posting where he wants to and where his points are most valid.or whereever your interest takes you.


strong believers don't give a damn what others have to say about their opinions because no-noe else has a say on what you "should" be thinking or saying.

No he posts in the america attacks forum all the time too. Usually using religion a little too much on a political thread.

Back to topic, if it is a private school, sometimes they can pull the, "were a private institution, we can do what we want card." All you can really do is present your facts to the school board. And hope they agree with you. If you were at a baptist school though you would be screwed.
