I have this weird sorta alergic stuff going on for a few years now. It appears without any kind of logical reason. I haven't found what makes it happen. Anyway - it appears on nearly any part of my body - belly, back, hands, legs, wherever and in the beginning it looks like a mosquito bite - a little kind of bump. But then it spreads! It grows bigger and wider (looks like skin rising/swelling. it actually gets thicker). If I don't scratch it, it goes away in a few hours or sooner, but if I scratch it, it may grow HUGE - like all over my back or belly and it itches desperately . There may also be a little red around it, but usually it's just natural skin color. I really hate this stuff, because I don't want people to think I'm some kind of freak, so I cannot really show my naked skin very often, because that stuff appears often - every day a few times. There may be some unexplainable periods, when there is no sign of it, but that is rare. I haven't heard anybody else have such stuff, so I hope to hear that some of you might know at least what it is or that someone else has it, for I feel like some exceptional freak here Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it?
Sounds a bit like eczema The causes of it differ from person to person but if you go to your Doctor you can get a cream to help it. If it's not eczema then I'm not sure what it is. It could be an allergy. Try changing your washing powder and/or shower gel and/or soap and see if the problem goes away. Or it could be heat rash/prickly heat. This happens when you sweat too much and it starts to irritate your pores.
It is an alergy, I'm pretty sure, because I am a rather alergic person. It is often connected to swetting, as I get that rash, or how to call it, more after swetting and it also appears more often on places where I have had the skin rubbed or scratched (if I accidentally have my hand scratched at some object, it may get the damn thing there). It loves to come up on my hands in the joints (like the opposite side of elbows ). It's weird. Though I don't really want to go to the doctor and I don't want to use some medicine all the time (well, maybe for a week or so if it solves the problem ), though natural cures would be fine. I also hope that it might go away in a couple of years or so, because I'm still like growing maybe and my body is developing, I'm 19, you see. Dunno. Misterious curse
Why would you be willing to use natural remedies, but not pharmaceutical remedies? I would recommend seeing a good dermatologist. Call a few offices. If it takes several months to get an appointment, it is ususally a good dermatologist.
I'm a bit afraid of modern medicine I feel as if every pill you take kills some little part of you somewhere inside. And not only the disease. Probably just paranoia I'm too lazy and scared to go to dermatologist. I haven't been going to doctors with stuff like this or anything, so all this going-to-doctor culture is rather alien to me. That's why I'm asking here All I want is at least to know for sure what the hell it is Though, I'm used to it
Hey osama, it sounds like you either have exema, or another thing called hives. Hives is a reaction from your body to something usually you have eaten. And if you itch it is will come up in big welts sort of thing huh... Hives can also be aggrivated by heat (or sweating as you said). I think the best thing to do right now, is to figure out if you have been eating anything differently lately. Hives is usually caused by dairy... is there any dairy allergy's in your family? Quite often by just cutting out the food that is making you react, you can reintroduce it a few months later, but in small doses.
It is not eczema. It is an allergy, I'm allergic to all kinds of stuff. I've tried to find out what food makes those things appear, but I just get no certain results. I suspected fruits, but then again - i didn't eat those for a while, but still I got the damn thing. Then I thought it's fried food (in oil), wrong again. Dunno. It's not milk - I'm vegan Just hope it vanishes It actually dissapeared for a week or two when I was traveling. Maybe it was because I was eating bad food (no fresh vegetables), like out of cans mostly, maybe it's an enzyme that my body doesn't like, which is destroyed by canning food I'm a damn freak
oh..keigh... I read about hives (oh, not the band) and i guess that is the thing i have around here Though they write people have it for like a few months I guess, but I have had it for like... 4 years now or so
Modern medications are extensively tested, retested, and tested again for safety, efficacy, etc. I am very afraid of "natural" remedies. First, there is no proof that they contain what they claim to contain. Second, there is no proof that they are safe or effective. The people making all the decisions and claims about "natural" medicine (ie nutraceuticals, homepathic, herbals) are businessmen. I have to wonder where their priorities are. Anyway, if it is eczema, which is very closely related to allergies, I would suggest getting a script for Elidel. Over-the-counter, Aveeno Cream with 1% hydrocortisone may help, or, if you want "natural", use a colloidal oatmeal bath. Keeping the skin moisturized is very important to keeping it healthy. Also drink plenty of water. If it is hives, I would recommend getting a script for acyclovir, or Valtrex. If you want "natural", I would recommend getting an L-Lysine supplement. Take 1-2 every day for maintenance, and up to 5 a day for severe outbreaks. Again, drink plenty of water and keep skin hydrated (good, noncomodongenic lotions, oatmeal baths, etc) Good Luck!
Thank you for caring so much It's not ezcema. It's hives. I don't think I have any problems with skin moisture. Except a bit on my palms maybe. So lysine is kind of related to this? Maybe there is some food that contains a lot of it so i could just eat for my health. As Hipocratus said - your food shall be your medicine and your medicine shall be your food. Healthy eating solves it all (well, ok, I've always been allergic to things so I'm not sure if it's possible to cure all these allergies copletely )
heh, well, you know, I'm rather used to it. Ok, I often have to hide away my arms or whatever parts of the body not to show this shit, that pisses me off a bit, but well - as I said - I'm used to that What's worse is when it's like just now - when I have the damn shit on my feet Yeah, you heard me right I have these fucking bumps on my feet so I can't really walk too well, it's like walking with pebbles in your shoes with that exception that I have no shoes on I used to drink these pills for allergies. Ok, they got the allergies away, but they made me sleepy. I know there are pills out there that don't make you sleepy, but well, I don't really believe in this chemestry medicine. I think my body might be better off leng term if I just go with the damn hives, not the pills. Guess I just wanna be natural
Sounds like B12 deficiency. You might need an injection.Thing with vitamin pills is there is only about a 20% absorption rate.
Sublingual B12 is available and is absorbed fairly well. Also, new research suggest that if you take 2mg B12 by mouth, the absorbtion will be similar to an injection.
