Apple Pipe, J or Blunt?

Which of these would be the most efficient way of smoking? I don't have a bowl, but I know Jays and blunts waste a lot because they burn between hits. Would an apple pipe be significantly more efficient?

 

more efficient yes. significance will deal with if you let the bowl cherry, size of hits taken etc

 

blunts and js do waste some between hits, but they also dont destroy as much THC as a bowl because the heat source after sparking is the cherry which doesn't burn as hot as a lighter flame, personaly i find that for one person go with a pipe, for more people start considering a blunt. If four people smoke a 1 gram blunt of decent weed all will be high where as if 4 people were smoking a bowl with the same amount of weed chances of all of them getting high is a lot less, all methods of smoking have their benefits and certain situations where they are most efficient

 

update: if the bowl your smoking cherrys, that a whole different story because your not using a lighter its still a cherry and your not wasting smoke between hits, so if your gonna smoke a bowl, do your best to light it and have it cherry for the smoking duration

 

but only a dumbass torches the bowl...your lighter flame should never touch the weed.

 

lol it has to touch the weed a little to burn it. i always just try to light a little part of the bowl. i really try to do it when i got some really good stuff that i dont wanna fry.

 

lol no it doesn't rookie. it only has to heat the air near it, the flame itself never needs to touch the weed.

 

lol rookie? dont get into that stuff man... if you dont touch the lighter to the bud it wont burn. i have done what your saying and it vaporizes it instead of burning it. theres no way to smoke a bowl without actually burning the bud otherwise its just vaporizing it.

 

You can ignite a bowl without touching the flame to the weed. If the air is hot enough, the weed will burn. The trick is to get the lighter just close enought to ignite the weed but not unnecesarily heat the bud

 

lol who cares if it lights the weed .05 cm away. Anyways I dont care if blunts waste more weed because I would smoke them if I smoked mids. I only smoke chronic though so I stick to the pipes.

Once the air around the weed has reached its ignition threshold it will ignite. A spark/flame/blowtorch/napalm etc needs not touch something for it to ignite. Hell if you dont believe me go put some paper on the stove burner and watch it burn. Theres no flame or spark there just alot of heat.

 

ive done my fair share so im definatly not a rookie by any means. and it doesnt matter either way. ive never held a light above a packed bowl long enough for it to ignite from the air. either way it burns the pot eventually so its not like it saves anything. its pointless to hold a lit lighter above the pipe when you can just light it and keep it cherrying. and i think the best way to smoke althought i havnt tried it yet is with the sun. i think the sun with a magnifying glass seems about the best way to smoke.

 

I'd say go with a blunt and just put it out when you're high... it lights up later no problemo and you can baked again.

 

you're proving yourself to be in company of the 12 year olds on this site. Maybe you've smoked more than your 4th grade friends but thats about it apparently. You don't take the extra 2 seconds to improve the quality of your bud by keeping the flame off of it? it saves more than letting that bowl cherry. A cherry be it in a bowl or on a joint wastes weed, no questions asked rook. Solar bowling is the cleanest by far but not always pratical. Move on from middle school and then get back to us.

I'll agree there's no need to guess about your level of knowledge. You've proven your knowledge, or should I say lack there of. Oh wow you've got a high school diploma, isn't that special. Look out hipforums here's the next leader of the free world. If you were such a fountain of knowledge, you'd be enrolled full time in college, not taking some classes. why must you be so cocky like you know so much more then me. i did say that you couldnt light a bowl witout touching the flame to it.. i was wrong. im only human...i really dont know why i said that because this is how a diesel engine works from the flash point of diesel fuel there is no spark. from that one bad remark on my part you act like im a know nothing fool. it doesnt really matter how the pipe gets lit it will be smoked either way. i know you been through your fair share of stupid people on these forums. i am new and i would like to stick around. just please dont judge me from one comment especially something as basic as this. i hope that once you get to know me that im not as dumb as your assuming.

i dont like arguing so i just wanted to post this last time to applogize for getting off topic. to answer the original post IMO a pipe is the most efficient and i actually prefer glass pipes the most. it just all depends on how much bud you have and how long you want it to last. if i have a bunch of bud ill roll a few joints but i mainly use glass pipes or bubblers.
