It's so stupid. Basically, Iran has been developing dangerous nuclear weapons. So America goes, oh I know, lets go and make war with them, won't THAT be fun! And so America tells Iran it wants to go to war. And Iran steps up its Nuclear program. America drafts in the UK, and so Iran changes the direction of their targety slightly. We have another cold war, except this one will be seriosu. We're all going to DIE. Because of these stupid, mindless, awful things called nuclear warheads. Iran will be a war too far! It is likely that America will bomb Iran and then Iran will become as destroyed as Iraq is today. In the next decade we will see Gulf war 3. But this time we will all be investing in a nuclear fall out shelter. Tv adverts will give us information as to where to buy a radio, and everyone will be stocking up. It don't matter how much we protest, history tells us, Governments don't listen. We are doomed-potentially.

The People in Iran are friendly to The West and want good relations. Its the reigning Junta that wants tension and confrontation in order to drive a wedge between the aspirations of ordinary Iranians and the Western nations. The clericial Junta ruling Iran is afraid of those aspirations, that they will lead to a more tolerant, democratic society that will level the power of the Junta. The Junta goes on and on about Israel, The US, The Pope, ect in order to divert the attention of Iranians from real life issues. If bush drops a few bombs it will drive that wedge, just what the pricks want. Russia's Vlad Putin paid a visit to Terhan a few days ago and came away disappointed that the Junta can be engaged on Western terms to act in concert with Russia in global power games. This is dismaying as it shows the Junta's limit in dealing with the outside world on any terms at all. If ever a situation called for global diplomacy, this is it. Without Russia and China in the group it will be hard to contain Iran.
Iraq and Afganistan is bad enough already. The whole world is still feeling the wobbles of when we first invaded Iraq in 2003. And I remember that day well. Iran like I said would be a war too far. Personally, any war with Iran could have devastating consequences for Great Britain. If Iran are creating Nuclear weapons. I don't think they will hesitate to use it against anyone who threatens their nation. I believe that right now, the best we can do, is sit around a table and talk democracy. Perhaps Gordon brown doesn't have to make the same mistake as his predocessor. Maybe he too might break the mould and actually unite with iran as an allie and show America that we are not going to be led into another unnessarcery war. I'm not even sure if America could win a war in Iran with its military as stretched as it is by Iraq and Afghanistan. I also doubt Britain would committ troops to a war on Iran given the progress of the Iraq war and its unpopularity. Our protests might not have prevented the war in Iraq, but I do believe they'll have helped to prevent a war in Iran....
I don't think you could describe Iran as being ruled by a junta. A junta is rule by the military. Iran is a theocracy, but I would agree that its government is considerably more conservative than large sections of its population....

I think I would prefer Warhammer than a war with Iran. Atleast if you lose, you can come away with your life. An Iran war would end life as we know it. So we would survive the nuclear blast in our nuclear fall out shelters. It would take many years for the radiation to die away. But those who are exposed to it will begin to mutate. This is metormorphosis. Britain unfortunately is like America's pet dog. America throws a stick into Iraq and Britain fetch. before long, America train us to become their faithful dog. We sit up and beg for imports, like American baseball and Budweiser. We even beg for American celebrities to come and grace our shores. Blair turned Britain into an influencable Nation. America says the words War. Next thing you know, Gordon Brown says, he is prepared to go to war. Britain is a laughing stock. I am going to export myself to France.
