is the best metal out there I think. I usually search bands on myspace and had no idea you could search the genre by country on there and I always heard sweedish bands were the best and I think its true to say
Yup, Sweden has a shitload of bands, compared to the total population probably one of the most 'metal' countries ever. Strange cause when I was in Sweden I didn't come across a lot of metalheads at all. My country of choice ist Deutschland.
HAIL NORWAY. I remember reading an interview from Dimmu Borgir, saying that if you go to Norway you wont come across a big metal scene. But your right, thers soo many sweedish metal bands, and I think the swedes tend to play many different styles as well- power, prog, doom, death etc.
Well, logically speaking, with a lot of metal bands there should be a lot of metal band members walking around. I guess they keep to the dark dark forests though. I would too, if I were a grim black metal dude. Come to think of it, I would, regardless of musical connections, but you're hard pressed finding more than just patches of trees between the highways around the Randstad. I've grown tired of most Norwegian bands, but I do still regularly listen to Immortal and Darkthrone. The rest... meh.
i would say scandinavian metal, espesialy black metal like emperor, enslaved, marduk, dimmu borgir, burzum, immortal etc.
