tell him that you will find it no matter what eventually and if he respected your wishes instead of making decisions for you he would help you out. better to take lsd from someone you know actually has lsd than end up with some research chemical.
If you think it will mess you up forever, then it's possible that it could happen, but you have to be a pretty fragile person not to be able to have a single trip. Worst case, you start thinking too much and have some anxiety for a while, and then you are really happy to be "back to normal" once you come down You seem like a thoughtful, honest person. So many people come here asking if they should dose, and it's very obvious that they shouldn't (usually, if you have to ask, you shouldn't!). You, however, seem like a perfectly fine candidate. Do you find yourself to be a general happy, calm person? Do you ever have panic attacks or anything like that? As long as you are generally content and relatively calm, I think you will have an amazing trip thanks to your depth and thoughtfulness as a person.
Oh thats a real friend. "I know you better than yourself and I know that once your true self is revealed to you, you wont like it". Really what this probably means is, once you go through the change that LSD would induce, you would probably see that this person is not a true friend and probably thus far, hasn't been. He most likely senses a need to salvage your friendship by holding off all perceptions of it. Ask yourself, does he get anything from you? Why would he want to hold you in your 'current' self? But anyways, on the subject of LSD in relation to salvia. About a year ago I tried salvia a few times. I got to a level 5 trip. Which completely scared the shit out of me. Room opened up into big expansive black void, crazy shit going on. LSD, tried a year later, like a month ago. I would honestly say got me further than salvia did. Which under that assumption you might think 'oh that just means all the more terrifying'. But no. What was so terrifying about being fully transported to the salvia world is the immediacy of intensity. Just like BAM your there. Then your only there fully for 5 minutes in typicaly time. So you never have much, or atleast I didn't, to figure out exactly what is going on. LSD however, will get you there, further, then you get to spend HOURS there. Which by the end you pretty much figure out what it all is exactly and it's not terrifying anymore. In my LSD trip I remember realizing "wow, I know exactly why salvia terrified me and if I tried it again, it probably wouldn't terrify me". However, should you do it? Certainly, I would say everyone needs to experience the psychadellic realm in full. Going through life and never getting to spend a good 12 hours in the psychadellic dimension would by like going through life never having sex. It's just one of those human experiences that, without doing, you probably will die still wondering about. But, pic your first chemical catalyst wisely. I would personally say that psilocybin mushrooms are far kinder than LSD. And typically recomend mushrooms as the catalyst for there first venture to everyone. LSD though, is certainly not to be missed. As one older and wiser urban shaman said to me once "Mushrooms let you peer over the mountain at God, LSD will shoot you over the mountain so you have a face to face talk with God".
You're friends seem like pricks for what they did to you during marijuana. The down side of marijuana is usually true for me in that aspect too - people can scare me with stupid shit easily, it's just up to you to hold it together and realize that they are just being pricks. Just think, "How am I going to die from sucking in lighter fluid?" You'd probably be correct for believing that; at least I fail to find any proof that marijuana could kill you, and never heard of any instances where someone accidently 'sucked in their lighter fluid', lol. '"mess me up forever"' I think he is messed up forever in a sense of his ignorance there made within that statement (only my opinion ofcourse though, i'm sure he's quite alright for trying to look out for you in the sense of not taking drugs, but yeah, y'know?). It can mess you up in a sense where - you now start to seek enlightenment more than you did before in life - or while you are on the trip make a revelation in life you hope to remember when it ends. That in a sense could be getting 'messed up forever', but whether it is negative is another debate within itself. People don't go retarded from LSD, people go retarded from abusing it's ability to awaken anything that's inside of you positive or negative. Rygoody made a good point to me over PM about LSD and he is a very smart guy, at least I would like to believe. I'll show you that after I say this one last thing, it can be bad in the way that you say you are frightened when you experience something that all may not experience, or should not be experiencing - There is nothing you can read online that will 100% explain a trip in every aspect. The drug is expanding your mind in it's own way, there is no universal given on how you will feel. I read virtually everything on tripping I can think of that would be benefitical in it's knowledge to the drug - but at the time I overlooked the ego loss, which is new, not exactly a bad thing either - just can be. My advice, don't try controlling the drug, let it control you. It will not control you in a sense of making you suicidal or crazy though, like jumping out of a building - that's insanity. Could happen to the one in 1 million, but just doesn't really even happen. Do not try making sense of your new sensations, you may not be able to you and it will just frighten you. Here is Rygoody's ideaology on ego loss:
oh no... I have ideologies now but that did remind me. I have Timothy Leary "The Psychedelic Experience" in .pdf format. If you give me your email I will email it to you. It's pretty much the only book I would say you should definanetly read before venturing to psychedelic land. I would further suggest printing out the 'instructions' in the back of the book to have with you while tripping. I really can't imagine how they wouldn't reveal some great insight to you the first time you go into LSD land.
Did I use to word in the wrong context? If so, sorry. But I did think your point over PM would be helpful in what he is trying to learn. I agree with what you had to say about it.
im just a dude sayin shit, there not ideologies the world doesn't need more ideologies, it needs more people sayin shit, or drawin shit and experiencing it
lol didn't mean to hit such a soft spot with a single word, sorry i wasn't trying to insinuate an ideology of the context i wrote in to bring anything that far
