Ok so for one of my classes were studying a case that happened in West Memphis, Arkansas and i was wondering if you think there guilty or not guilty. Its a really long case about three boys named Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley Jr.. They were accused of killing three 8yr old boys on May 5, 1993. Im supposed to be a prsecutor and prove that they are guilty. They already had there trial a but they are appealing there case this year. Down below is the website made by there families to prove that they're not guilty and shit like that. I think that they are guilty from the research that i did. Yesterday i was on my computer for 6 1/2 hours looking at everything and i think that they are guilty. So what are your thoughts? www.wm3.org
I'm not very well informed about that case, but most people who are seem to suspect... I believe it's the stepdad of one of the three. What little I do know suggests that they were not given a fair trial. I'd be interested in what you and your class make of the case after you're done studying it.
I dont think theyre are guilty. They werent given a free trial, thats for sure. Not to mention that there was a black man spotted at a cafe around that area with blood on him just a little while after the boys were announced missing. But nobody questioned that.
i agree man. they were picked first because they were fans of different music, dressed different, were different. they have been in prison for a long time because of discrimination for something so pointless (their differences I mean) Its pathedic. The crime scene had been tampered with too.
