I wonder how many of the doom mongers here are short the dollar and the S&P500. You're so sure? Put some money up.

Many of us are just trying to keep our heads above water and provide for our families, while gas and necessities skyrocket, and our wages and real estate are deflated.

    Dont hold your breathe

Did your "business analysts" predict it would be back to
    "normal" before years end?

After 30 years of being below par "sometimes as low as 60 cents" i would be a little excited too.
Even tho it only lasted what, a month?

Probably same place you keep your loonie.

    Did you profit from this?.
You could have made 9% in a 30 day turn around, not shabby.

Alot of looonies found their way to the US this x-mas season = good for us.

You'll know when America is really in trouble when the illegals start leaving.

I did as planned buy 15,000 U.S. once the Canadian dollar reached 1.10 because I knew it would sink down, course I'm not an idiot it's just fun to brag while you can.

So now I have 15k U.S. and I'm just waiting for the Canadian dollar to dive to 80 cents, yuppie!

Even though I live very closely to Buffalo, no I don't do my shopping there because I can buy nice jewelry and leather in, TURKEY mmmmm, ever go to a bazaar?

Anyway yeah, maybe even wait till the loonie drops to 70 cents.

If it were to drop to 70 and I exchanged my american money for canuck cash, that'd be a profit of 40 cents a dollar, increase of 6,000 profit, obviously because of exchange rates I'll make round 5700 or so but whatever.

And to think all I did was change money, safer than buying stock, although I did profit from that recently because of the canadian dollar rise, shit is I couldn't sell it in time so I only profited 37%.

Oh and for the guy that said the U.S. has too much in place to collapse, what is that exactly?? Britain had apparently everything in place too, but it still lost its colonies. Okay bad example, America is just filled with idiots, Great Britain's population was well educated.

That's what many nations have said in the past, as well. Every government is collapsable. No system is immune, sorry to burst your bubble.

Thought we were in trouble because they are here ? which is it?
    http://edition.cnn.com/2007/US/12/22/immigrants.leave.ap/index.html

Some are going back to Mexico for work, others are trying their luck in other states. Only goes to prove that the "illegal immigrants problem" can be handled at a state level, with tougher state laws and VOTER-APPROVED LEGISLATION.

I hope the Loonie stays strong for as long as possible

Gonna be awhile before you see 80, possibly years if ever, but good to see you have faith in the US economy, even more than you do your own.
