hey, ive been looking for drug movies. mainly stupid pot movies, like how high, half baked. that sort of thing. anyone know of any good ones?

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a must for stoners! I also like Donnie Darko, SLC Punk, Blow, Requiem for a Dream, and Spun. And you cant forget the classics ... Any cheech and chong, dazed and confused, and the Big Lebowski.

I don't really like half-baked. I get this weird feeling that they're being condescending to potheads, and that the movie is actually meant as an anti-Marijuana use message, just very well shrouded in jokes. Is it just me, or did anyone else get some of that from watching this movie?

Anyway, I'd suggest either 2001 a Space Odyssey or Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal is way too strange to even explain. It gets a bit dark at points, but it's fucking great.

 

THE LAST WALTZ. It's The Band's last concert and they rock out with eric clapton, muddy waters, neil young, bob dylan, joni mitchell, ringo starr, ron wood, paul butterfield, dr. john and many others. its fucking awesome if youre a fan of the band and if not check it out anyway because hey are an truly excellent band. listening to garth hudson wail on his organ while high makes for some of my best sessions. THE LAST WALTZ.
