this is gonna be a quick post.1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 but think about it no matter what we all do with our life we still cant defy gravity by our selves and fly like a bird. By our selves we cant jump off a cliff and live, its impossible. And allmost everyjob whether it be growing marijuana or being an astrologist they are both consisting of normal abilities. So when you think abou it we are only doing things that are body was desingned for. DESIGN being key word.Puppets are designed to make certain actions happen. We are puppets. We are controlled by a force not known to man, but still we are controled. We will never do the things we do in our dreams. Which leads me to the conclusion we are actually living in our dreams. Because there we are doing what no man can do in real life. NO STRINGS ATTATCHED.
it's more like two seperate universes. and no one KNOWS what we CAN'T. ONLY that somethings are a LOT more likely then others. the important thing of course is to not loose track of which one you're in! that could get messy. more and less real? who knows. i think the limitation in this life is our physical bodies. in the dream world we are only simulating them, if/when we are at all, as familiar points of reference. in a sense that may be putting us closer to being our true selves. but we do awaiken. and when we do, we are forced to deal with surviving in this one, with all the appearent limitations physical existence places upon it. eventually a day will come for each of us, when we do not awaiken. what dreams we'll be dreaming then, if any, is also unknown, however fanaticly some may have been convinced to speculate about it. it is quite possible of course, somehow, that not even death ultimately proves to be eternal. that whether or not we dream in between, eventually, sooner or later, another infant something, will be born on some world somewhere, and that infant whatever it will be, will be once again us. =^^= .../\...
As a matter of perspective and belief, contemplating the nature of reality may best be left to philosophy and religion. As far as dream states go, we are conscious of our ego during the day, we are not always aware of our "I" during dreaming and we are not aware of being not aware during deep sleep. During deep sleep the world, time and space, and ourselves cease to exist. During the walking state we know that we did not exist during the previous night. Therefore the walking state and the dreaming states are both illusion. What is "real" is the deep sleep state where there is no thinking and no awareness of not being aware. Some people call it the Self, some the Soul, others call it God. But as I said, discussions concerning the nature of consciousness may be best left for headier areas, like philosophy, religion and science. What if you do become aware of the things you can do in a dream and consciously (?) decide not to do them? What does that say about the person? Lightning and thunder storms usually come slowly upon one. One can walk towards them or go around them. Whether in the walking or dream state we usually find ourselves in the midst of the storm and wonder how we got there and what to do to get out.
in my dreams i am always awaire of myself and being myself and being there, really taking in and enjoying my surroundings. now that doesn't mean having the slightest idea what i look like in my dreams to anyone else in them or otherwise. that's something i don't pay a lot of attention to in this life, other then to keep myself clean enough and half way respectable looking. for me, its all about where i am and what is arround me. in BOTH worlds. more then about how people see each other. certainly i existed during the previous night. it was just in a different parallel universe from this one that i was doing so. i do know i feel a lot calmer, less stressed, less having to worry about anything, less really threatened by anything in them then when awaike. that's that main thing for me. that is the freedom. freedom from anxiety. there's always someplace to sleep where no one will bother you for sleeping there, and always something to eat, or a lack of need for doing so, and always nothing to stop you from exploring to your hearts content. the other differences are just differences between parallel worlds and how they work. i don't buy the no thinking bit either. i DO actually think about and deliberately figure things out in them too. and actually hands on USE tecnology and read the displays and readouts on it and everything. teleporting, levitating/air floating, and specific defferences in parallel geography, and to a degree telekeniticly being able to rearrange and redesign things 'on the fly', are the ONLY discernable differences for me, between that universe and this one. part of that calmness comes from knowing for instance, that if someone in them were to point a gun at me, i could turn it into a flower. that is, unless, that person in them, was actually being driven by someone else also dreaming at the same time and they were a more powerful dreamshaper then myself. and i have had dreamshaping contests in my dreams too. and i must say, those i did not always win. but they weren't duels to the death or anything imediately life threatining or anything like that either. =^^= .../\...
Are you saying that you always know that you are dreaming? Are you saying that you keep your name and identity while in the dream state? Are you saying that you are aware even while you are unconscious? That itself is a contradiction in terms: if you are unconscious you are not conscious of not being conscious. Some of the sages say that there is no thinking while in the unconscious state (deep sleep after dreaming before waking up.) I tend to disagree. I say that the brain keeps thinking but that we separate our Self from our thinking self (the Universal or Absolute Consciousness from our ego centric consciousness.) I know that our minds keep thinking while falling asleep, while dreaming and while starting to wake up. Even though scientific instruments say that there is no brain activity which points to thinking while in the deep sleep state (non-dreaming, non-thinking) that has not been my experience (a few times, not all the time.) Now I just revel in the deep sleep state. Many times I can't be bothered to have sex dreams or nightmares. So I tell myself to move my body while asleep and dreaming. Then the dream or nightmare goes away. If I do use "powers" it is just to overcome evil. Any evil which I attribute to myself I take as warnings. Sometimes knowing the future is a bitch. Most of the time it is a blessing.
i'm saying that no i'm not "awaire of dreaming" at all. but i am completely awair of existing and being the self that i am. (yes the same self that i am, in BOTH, experiencing in all the same ways and senses in both) that it's like just two parallal universes. and when i'm awaike in one i'm asleep or abscent in the other. there's no deferentiation in the quality of experiencing. at all. it's just two different places. each as completely real within themselves. as completely not existing in each other. the only differentiation between them being that some things work a little different in each from the other. just as different quantum universes would. i always know that i'm in the one that things work the way that they do in it. but it's not a matter of seeing, or thinking of that, as an awairness of DREAMING. it's not an awairness of DREAMING, it's an awairness of being in a parallal universe that each one works a little differently then the other. but experiencing is experiencing. just the same in both. and so, to the extent of how things work in each, is doing things, even creative things and making and exploring, all of it. oh yes and emotions too. but emotions aren't the biggest part of how i experience either. geography, geology, geometry, tecnology, are. lots of other living things are there, just like they are here. and there are people some times. but the creatures there are the creatures there. they are not the creatures here. plant life looks a lot similar, but it's certainly by no means identical. and people don't always look like people here at all. or always not either. i think there are other people from here that go there just like i do. but also that there are people from other places who go there and of course people who live there too. and you know, thinking of that, i wouldn't be a bit surprised if there are people in our waking world who are visiting here in their dreams just like we or i do that one. =^^= .../\... as for evil, well the only evil in THIS universe is the suffering caused, more by conditions created by ignorance and indifference then deliberatiely. it is the same in that one, only there's even LOTS LESS of it there, because, probably, people there use better sense and make less reasons then here for causing themselves not to. people don't have to put locks or even close doors because, while people might go in and look if no one's there, people don't mess with stuff that's where they can see other people are living. that's why there's few fences, no keep out signs, no need for them really, no building codes and none of the kinds of idiologies and ownership of the land itself that in this world causes things to be built in places where it doesn't make sense to build them. this doesn't happen there because without all the mumbo jumbo of owning land there's no need or reason for it to. the closest thing to all that is that out of consideration people don't build closer to each other then each other would be comfortable with. yet there are also cities of sorts, where things are built where people mostly don't live but those who do are those who don't mind, arn't bothered by being that close to each other. all of the tecnology is a lot quieter and most of it doesn't use any sort of combustion. but there's definately plenty of it. there are also, sort of wandering mazes of construction, that anyone can add to, and anyone, whether they do or not, can sleep or even move into, any of the dead end corners of, and no body bothers them or what they put there when they do. i mean other then the way some things work in the physics of that parallal universe, there's nothing that couldn't be that way in this one other then the ways and assumptions people are familiar with of looking at things. =^^= .../\...
