If you really want to make a statement to end the drug war donate to Ron Paul on November 5th (Who the f is Ron Paul?) where we will break the record for money raised in a single day for a presidential candidate.
Just so you know though, he isn't much of a pro-cannabis candidate. He wants to leave the decision up to the states instead of the feds, which is good, but it's more of a neutral stance.
Well he said the War On Drugs is not working & the government has no right to say what people can and can't put into their bodies. So no he's not pro-cannabis or pro-drugs, but he's pro-freedom.
Nov. 5th all Ron Paul supporters should try to donate $10 to his campaign and be sure to register republican so you can vote for him in the primaries
hahahhahaha, awesome video. It was really 80's though. And it shows Paul's consistent politics for over 2 decades. BTW: I've already donated $5
Well if he's going to leave it up to the feds then chances are that it'll just stay illegal. Even if the off chance happens and he's elected president (which I hope he is) he'd probably get shot by some zealot nut...or just a nutcase in general.
He never said he would leave it to the feds. Check this video out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8I7625eWDU And also he's a white, conservative male... since when is that the criteria for getting shot? Neither Lincoln(technically a republican but not a conservative), McKinnley (a republican but not a conservative) nor Kennedy were conservatives...
I'd rather have an overall liberal anti-cannibus president, then an all around conservitive pro-cannibus president. I'm smoking the shit either way, a president can't introduce a law, and he is probably an anti-gay. Either way, chances are he won't even get to the balot, let alone be elected after the damn republican's last 2 terms. After bushes 1&2 and ragen(spelled wrong I'm sure), the republican party is dead to me.
Glad you can't vote homie... I'd rather have a candidate who is anti-the Patriot act, anti-the WTO, anti-NAFTA, anti-CAFTA, anti-the death penalty, anti-the war in Iraq, anti-the war on drugs, anti-taxation and pro-constitution over any of the "liberal" candidates any day of the week. Sorry if you're gay and this offends you but I personally feel that we need to work on fixing poverty overseas (which would be aided substantially by lifting free trade agreements like CAFTA, NAFTA and the WTO) before we worry about things like gay marriage. Gays have plenty of rights just short of getting married in America... many people overseas don't have the right to eat because of the U.S.'s economic policies and Dr. Paul is the only candidate that speaks about the importance of ending these agreements that only hold the interests of transnational corporations.
I will be 18 by the next vote, so I will. Don't call me homie, bastereds who say something like "I'm glad you can't vote" shouldn't call who they offend "homie". I agree, those trade agreements are bad, but since Ron Pau; has almost no chance of winning, being republican, which I won't even waste my time going to their primareis, loathing the republican party anyway. Even if he does get into office, presidents can't propose bills, and his party would pressure him away from economic reform. A hard pressure to resist. Getting married has 3,824 rights attatched to it, it is a big deal. You are not gay though, so you don't get it. I'm all for lifting those agreements, but since Ron Paul will loose(I can guarentee you that), economica isn't THAT simple, I won't even waste my time supporting a no chance conservative who is anti-gay, which is my top priorety.
You really think that a Democratic candidate will provide gay marriage for gays in America? Not one candidate says they support gay marriage other than Dennis Kucinich who has less of chance than Ron Paul because of campaign funding alone. Every other candidate says they are going to fight against it or they will tolerate it... Obama, Clinton, Dodd, Edwards.. not one of them said that they will do anything to gurantee the right to marry for gays and lesbiens in the United States. They said they aren't against it and that is pretty close to what Dr. Paul says because although he does have a moral objection to it, he does not have a political objection to it. Ron Paul says that the 10th ammendment of the constitution would prevent him from placing a ban on gay marriage if congress was to pass legislature to approve it. So basically he's saying the same thing as most democrats with the exception of Kucinich: leave it up to the states and the federal government won't fight those decisions. You should quit voting on party lines and look into what each candidate represents. I hate neoconservatives like the current administration, like Reagan's administration and like Bush Sr.'s administration but Ron Paul is no regular Republican. He embodies what the Republican party stood for when Democrats were still fighting to sustain slavery. The history of our politics has changed so greatly, so quickly. And actually with the amount of money that Dr. Paul raised on the 5th of November if he continues to raise the 12 million he needs by Dec. 31st... he has a lot better shot of winning than anyone except for Obama, Clinton, Guilliani and Romney which is a big deal, a very big deal. You shouldn't count him out yet.
You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Ron Paul is a very different republican than what is in the current administration. There's a reason why they're called "neo conservatives". It's because they're not really conservatives at all...all they do is spend and expand the government. Ron Paul is a libertarian. Being a libertarian he feels that it is an individual's right to do with their life as they please. He's not "anti-gay" because he doesnt talk about gay rights. He doesnt talk about gay rights because he doesnt like to group people together like that. He is more focused on EVERY individual's rights. Rights that the powers in this government on BOTH sides have taken away. Secondly, you seem so very sure that Ron Paul is not going to win. Why is that? I know 38,000 people who donated on average over $100 on november the 5th who would disagree with you. It's the media who causes these kind of reactions. They have almost completely blocked Ron Paul out even though he has a tremendous following. They back this up with these polls that show Ron Paul at somewhere between 2-5%, which isnt very good. But there's a good reason for that: when you look at those polls they say "likely Republican voters". These are people who voted in the last election...Bush supporters! Ron Paul is everything in a Republican that bush is not. Pro-war neocons who want to try to police the world and invade into everyone's civil liberties. The same kind of people who would stop gay marriage and would stop any marijuana reformation. But Ron Paul is not that man. He gets support from all over the political spectrum. Leftists/liberals who care about getting out of iraq and getting their civil liberties back. Right-wingers/Republicans who want a much smaller government and less taxation. And of course independents, libertarians and first time voters. He has more of a chance than you think.
great, just go vote for Hilary or some other moron who will accomplish nothing at all for this country. The mainstream candidates won't end abortion. They also won't end our disasterous foreign policy. They won't end our country's enormous debt. They won't end the war on drugs and set free thousands of its victims. They won't stop the government's failure to abide by the bill of rights(warrentless wiretapping, loss of habeous corpus, patriot act, ect.). They won't stop the North American Union. They won't end illegal immigration. They won't change ANYTHING!!!! (Sorry, if I came across a little harsh. Pissed at a lack of cigarettes and sleep. Goddamn english essay.)
Lady of the Freaks you misunderstand. Ron Paul is personally against a woman's right to choose, but he acknowledges the government has no legitimate say in the matter legally. SO I suggest you reevaluate him before you get all feminazi. btw does anyone else find it unfair that girls can engage in casual sex just like males, but the males have no say in abortion if an accident happens and only the female does. I think that's unfair because the female can basically ruin the guys life if she chooses and he has no say, but they both engaged in the same activity. I know it's not going to change but I always felt that that was kind of unfair even if it was a fact of life. I personally support abortion just because children scare the shit out of me and if the rubber broke I would pray that the girl would abort it. I know it's kind of morally bankrupt but w/e.
