My best freind scince 5th grade (now we are in 11th) moved to a diffeerant town a long time ago, weve been smoking buddys way before high school. So the ohter day i was picken up a quater and he ws gettin a half 8th. I was talking about acid and he said i could get you some but im not gettin it for oyu it will fuck you up he said. ive never done acid before but him and my other freind belive those bull shit storys like when the guy sliced him self cause he thought he ws an oragne and stupid crap like that. Anyone know how i could convince him to get me it i thought of getting him realy baked and just bringing it up when i have cash. Exuse my typing becuase my keybord nd computer is on the floor and im just typin fsst

 

try shrooms first, they are safer, but in any case you have to do the research on acid first, go to erowid.org
and make sure you want to do it first, are you in a proper frame of mind? do you have a sitter? are all the stories so unbelievable? my friend watched a pepsi symbol slide off a soda machine and walk across the floor.... in my opinion, you should wait, and your friend isnt being a dick, hes looking out for you

 

^^ Hell no. Shrooms arent safer, they are a way shitter trip. Shrooms can make you sick, depressed and have anxious feelings. Acid is a clean trip that goes smooth. I would go for 2 hits of acid for your first time. Only thing you'll feel is pleasure.

I love it when kids speak the truth on this forum!!! Shrooms are for the really strong minded.. those that can deal with exploring the darkest aspects of their psyches.

 

You guys really think shrooms are stronger than an acid trip?? WTF are you on? You would recommend acid to someone (lasts 12 hours, impossible to predict, crazy fucking visuals, people can't take shit like it) and then say shrooms are too strong?

I'm gonna go against the grain and recommend that you convince your friend you have a strong enough mind for acid. Bring up some topics about really intelligent/mind-opening things that you know. He doesn't sound too educated about drugs and that's what breeds more retarded rumors. As long as the user is careful about whatever they are using, I'm positive it can come out well.

Also acid is a big purporter of mental loops. Some people have minds that perpetuate things over and over. This makes for a scary situation when on an intense fucking drug that lasts seemingly forever. When you think that cops are coming, and you can never get away from that thought (just an example) things can get a bit fucking hectic.

Don't listen to what people tell you, do your own research please.

Acid lasts longer but psilocybin is way more intense of an experience per average dose. Most people I know who have a substantial amount of experience with psychadelics including myself prefer LSD to mushrooms because of the reasons that MynameisJake laid out. For the most part the come up on L is smooth and you reach the peak in waves (if you have good acid) so it feels as though you gradually get to the plateau of that psychadelic state of consciousness where mushrooms on the other hand (and this has a lot to do with the molecular structure of psilocybin) can often times feel like you are being shot out of cannon. One second things appear to be vivid and bright and the next you're tripping balls. I had this happen to me the other day on Cyanescen tea... before we could even finish the cup of tea much less leave the house I was propelled into the trip much faster than I would have been if I had taken L and that can be scary for a novice tripper who has been told mushrooms are mild in comparison to L.

You recommend Erowid but why not go straight to one of Erowid's biggest influences Terence McKenna? A majority of his writting on Tryptamines and Consciousness or psychadelics and consciousness is focused on mushrooms being something unique in regards to other psychadelics largely because they are natural and we have an evolutionary relationship with them and largely because they have the potential to be rediculously potent. Not to say that L isn't rediculously potent in fact it is probably the most potent psychoactive chemical in the sense that it is the only one that has effects in microgram dosages.. but the experience is not as powerful per average dosage.

 

^ no its not more intense per dose...if you ate an eigth of LSD you'd be way more fucked up then an eigth of shrooms. But yeah... i do find an intense shroom trip harder to handle then an acid trip.

Hmm I think the problem we are discussing is in fact based on dosage. I agree psilocybin is a huge mental mindfuck, and I love the cannon part myself. I think if someone were to take a half an eighth (standard dose for first timer) compared to a hit or two of acid, the acid would mindfuck the hell out of someone comparatively. You can definitely sleep off a shroom trip, acid I don't think so.

I recommended erowid because it's not just one person's viewpoint. I agree reading the proprietors of psychadelics is very important, but to a 16 year old it's not at all.

Both can be really intense drugs and shouldn't be taken lightly AT all. I'm in no way saying that either are safer, but that I've found that shrooms are definitely easier to control and easier to escape negative effects than acid. Personal experience, nothing more. We obviously disagree, but that should happen anyways, different people, different opinions. Peace!

EDIT: I would also like to point at that most of the time when you buy acid nowadays you are getting majorly weak shit, and sometimes a different chemical altogether. It seems that with shrooms, as long as you know the source and how they/he/she/it are getting them, you'll trip. I've only seen one kid try to sell another some fake shrooms, and I was the person that was supposed to verify if they were shrooms or not. Needless to say that kid scrammed after showing us the fake ones.

I don't give acid to my loved ones, unless they tell me before hand that they have read as much as they can about it and they are fully aware of the potential risks vs. benefits... I generally try not to give it to anybody at all, in fact. So, I totally understand where he's coming from, and instead of getting upset about it, I think you should be thankful you have a friend who loves you so much. It is a very, very painful thing to see someone you care about having a bad trip because of acid that you gave him/her.

By the way, I would say an eighth of really good shrooms is equal to 2-3 hits of really good acid (400-700 mikes). I've never had crappy shrooms, but I'm guessing an eighth of crappy shrooms is equal to 2-3 hits of crappy acid. (100-150 mikes).

 

i've never done acid, but last time i did shrooms i ended up with a tattoo of a crazy fucking sun on my back. i wouldn't say either are "safe" though.
