Hello everyone. I was wondering what other people did for cleansing, spiritual, ritualistic ways for self, apartment, stones & others to release any negative energies.

I have been on a crazy path for several years now and never cleansed my apt. till yesterday. When I did, I focused on myself first asking for freedom while on my path from East South West & North. I repeated: I Break up & release all negative & stagnant energy in this place, May peace light & divine love protect us & be ever present, for the stones I thanked the stones and sage before asking them to help me to realize my goals.

Does anyone else have other ideas for cleansing?

    Thanks,
    ~M~

..when taken out of context that quote is really funny.

I just burn some sage personally.

Thanks for your reply, I really can't imagine that so many people have looked at this posting on this site and have yet to reply of what their method is... I'm kinda confused here... oh well, I guess learning "how to become a rainbow is just more popular"...

Thanks for replying, I appreciate it although I am trying to find more than just burning the sage, I wish I had a positive ritualistic method then what I already have, I feel like I am missing something when I perform the cleansing.

I never thought I would smudge my house till I moved into this apartment and all of my vegetables started rotting, it scared the shit out of me I was like what kind of negative energy could do this!?!!? So I smudged according to the presummable wiccan/pagan method gived to me by the shopkeeper and walked with the smoking sticks around the entire perimeter with the prayer or intention you feel comfortable with.

The veggies stopped rotting, but I was still freeked out, i didnt renew the lease.

i think for a lot of people its a personal ritual of there own design, therefore they dont want to come on here say what they do and then be criticized by some high holy pagan for "doing it wrong".this is the hip forums after all.

i leave the smudging here to dilligaf,,i know it gos on because she grows her own sage and i find rolls of it half burnt around the house,, lol...

i have no idea how she does it tho..

    Fuckin' hippies.

Rituals program your subconscious. Perform whatever ritual you think will nudge you towards the mindset you want. It doesn't matter if you make it up yourself or if some white bhudist guru who stopped bathing teaches it to you.

Ha. Sorry about that. While I like a lot of the things in the hippie mindset, the flakiness is a continual agitation and sometimes I have an outburst about it. Don't mind me.

I agree with you the mindset is so very important that is what makes everyday of your life with or without cleansing...but I have a question.

What if your mindset is not good and you are struggling every day just to "make it work"?

It's not about being a hippy its about how do you bring the positive out? Sage may burn, it may smell good, but it seems (for me) its a focuser. Instead of focusing on the millions of negative issues in my brain, I am able to focus on the sage, the orange ambers that burn, the sound of when I blow onto the burning leaves *crackle*, the smoke the thickness or thinness of the waves in which consume my apt, and me (since I am breathing this essences into my body) etc.

Question #2 How does someone that has for many years (without realizing it) been drawn into a depression bring the positive atmosphere back into their lives? (without doctors or medication)

Sometimes on this post I agree with the bro that posted earlier, there are always some people that will post a negative comment just to post, People should not be scared to ask questions ESPECIALLY when reaching out to brothers and sisters for ideas in helping themselves to get through negative and or positive situations.

i don't have a particular ritual.... i'm not sure if i've ever consciously performed one with an intention either. except just this one time when i bought my singing bowl. i brought it into the back yard where my tent is staked. i live out of it at a small commune in a city in FL. i just sat in my area and played my singing bowl and focused on fine tuning the positive energy around my space, tent, hammok. i think it has worked b/c even though there's frequent moments of contention within our house family room, no one has ever come outside and brought negative energy to my personal plot. i also try to maintain a simple shrine with a bhuda figure, a book with the words of bhuda and one with the words of christ, whom i believe to have been a true bhuda. also, one time a friend came out and just randomly passed me a stick of sage and i went inside my tent with it and let it burn a little. i believe in sage and also pleasant sounds. inside the main living room, sometimes people will play very loud and aggresive music on the stereo and i feel it subliminally causes discourse. that's why i chose to listen to music like the Dead, Phish, Beatles, Django, Willie Nelson.

also, if you are a video gamer i would recommend giving it up for reading something like the Tao Ti Ching, Dhamapada, or the Bhagivad Gita. i'm so very pleased with how quickly these books have helped me to work some things out for myself.

much love brother! i'll try to remember your situation and send some of my energy your way.
