Hard to know where politics end and conspiracy begins. And I'm probably unnecessarily paranoid. But I had a scary and probably crazy thought I'd like to share. Maybe I can freak somebody out.

I'm preparing to do some massive voter registration/campaigning for Ron Paul. Now, the thing that's weird for me is that I grew up in a completely DEMOCRAT environment and it has been drilled into my head for 52 years that "Republicans are evil"... Or at least much worse than Democrats! Now, up until the present, I pretty much agreed. So, I guess now hell has finally frozen over, and the only guy worth voting for who actually might have a CHANCE is a Republican... You can imagine my consternation. But the scary conspiracy thought I had, which doesn't really seem to have a point to it yet, is that this could all be some kind of TRAP or conspiracy of some kind... You must register REPUBLICAN to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. He almost seems too good to be true. He is exactly the OPPOSITE of what the global elite want. He stands for everything they would like to squash. A HUGE controversy has grown around his campaign due to the mainstream media and the other candidates trying so desperately to keep him unpopular and the internet going berserk over him like he's a messiah or something. It's like a million red arrows are pointing to HIM, a human psychology would tell me that an awful lot of folks will vote for him simply due to the NOTORIETY and controversy. (People love a good controversy) ...It almost seems staged somehow. Like 9-11 did.
But for what purpose? After all, why would they WANT you to vote for somebody who is SO far off the track they wish to be on? I'm probably just thinking too hard, but it's pretty easy to not trust the government these days as they obviously would do ANYTHING to reach their goals... One theory is that they simply want a nice neat list of people who actually voted for him to add to their list of possible "threats to national security"... Please tell me I'm just too conspiracy minded.

Don't focus so much on political parties -- they are meaningless. Democrat and Republican are the same thing, and both parties serve the same globalist agenda and answer to the same masters at the top. The only thing that really differs is the rhetoric. Bill Clinton's former mentor at Georgetown, who selected Clinton for the Rhodes Scholarship and was also the historian for the CFR -- Carroll Quigley -- wrote in his book, Tragedy and Hope (1966), that both parties should be almost identical. That way, once the public gets sick of one party, they can "throw the rascals out" without there being much change in policy. This is exactly what we have with the two-party system, so they couldn't care less whether you register Democrat or Republican, as long as you buy into the two-party system and believe that your vote actually counts, and that we live under a Democratic system.

Politicians are all the same in that they will say everything they think the public wants to hear, until they are in office where they continue with the same agenda as the previous administration. I am not sure if this is the case with Ron Paul, but I doubt it is. The media is doing everything they can to either ignore or discredit him. But even so, this isn't our system, and what the public wants means very little to those who run this system. They would never allow somebody like Ron Paul to win, and when you control the voting machines, as well as the media, it really doesn't matter who the people want. This is why they're telling us that Ron Paul is only registering 2% in most polls, when the reality is it's much higher than that. But they will just continue to keep telling us that Giuliani and Romney are they frontrunners, and most people will believe it because they have been scientifically conditioned to believe whatever they hear on TV as being the truth.

Yea, I've actually preached for a few years now that you should vote for the INDIVIDUAL instead of the party. I hate labels used to divide... I'm not so interested in Gravel or Kucinnich, but the main REASON being that they are not being made nearly as "exciting" by the MEDIA as the others... I'm sure this is the case in many instances. Is his particular popularity as compared to the others simply due to the fact that he is a "republican" who does not SEEM like a republican, and therefore sticks out much more than the Democratic candidates who are PRESENTED as being much more "average" for "underdog" candidates?

I also realize that if Ron Paul DID get the majority of votes, which he very well could, he still could not be allowed to "win". I simply don't see it happening (more conspiracy). And all these things, put together, are what's causing me a bit of discomfort. I can see a scenario where they figure whoever votes for Ron Paul can be looked at with skeptecism. It would be simple for them to figure out exactly WHO voted for him, they wouldn't even have to look at the registered DEMOCRATS, only the Republicans. How convenient. Less work.

.....I see a mental picture of an evil and conniving police officer leaving $20 bills laying put all over the place and then when some folks come along and pick one up, he jumps out from behind a "Bush" and grabs you and you go to jail. It's something like that...

I'm surrounded by an unusual amount of LOCAL political corruption and conspiracy and I've gotten much involved. And I read too much... Which makes it where you have more sensitivity to things like this. Which can be a curse. I DO think Ron Paul is REAL. That's why I want to get involved. And I DO think he is worth voting for, if for no other reason than making a statement. I just think his campaign could be used for nefarious reasons somehow, by the dark forces...

Earthmother, you're certainly on the right track. The 2 party system is in reality a 1 party monopoly/illusion designed to consolodate as much corporate/military power as they can before they implement their "new world order" and cancel national sovereignty. The next election may not happen due to a staged (false flag) attack (like 9/11) and martial law may be declared indefinitely. Scary things possibly lie ahead.
